I need a lawyer in Madrid

I have a non-paying client in Madrid. I need a lawyer who will force him to pay. I need this to happen very quickly and as unpleasantly as possible for my non-paying client.

If anyone has the contact details for a suitable lawyer please contact me privately. The lawyer must be based in Madrid and should be able to communicate with me in English.

I was going to say that you would be far better off with a debt recovery company, who will bang on his door tomorrow and demand the money. They'd take maybe 30% of your money but he'd pay his dues in an unpleasant way. The Spanish courts are notoriously slow - almost as bad as the Italian ones, I expect - and lawyers' hands are bound by all sorts of red tape.

But you won't want to hear that either.

Correct. I already know a debt recovery company. I'm still hoping that someone will give me the information I'm asking for.

If I were a non-paying client, I wouldn't expect to be charged at all! Do you mean a defaulting client?

Anyway, I think Sheila's right. The lawyer may or may not force the client to pay, but will certainly force you to pay, and may just put it in the hands of a debt recovery company anyway, so you may pay twice to get paid yourself.

You could consider "El Cobrador del Frac", who dresses up in white tie and tails etc. and goes to the person's house or office to embarrass... See more
