I am experiencing downward pressure on word rates from agency clients. I would like to know whether this is general amongst qualified translators and if so what you are doing about it. I will have to dip in and out of this session but will look at comments from time to time.

As a matter of fact, I rejected to take a job offer because the client wanted to pay half of the widely accepted average rate. It would have been quite a nice job, my heart is bleeding but there is a line I don't allow any client to cross. If I offer quality work I expect appropriate payment.

I'm experiencing the same thing as Veronica: loading is lasting forever. Is there anything we could do to fix this?

Whenever I try to enter the chat room, I receive an error message saying: The connection to the server is lost.
Is it me, or is it the server? (

I believe there is. It keeps dropping the connection.

I'm having the same problems. I've got a translation to get on with which is high pressure but I thought I'd drop in and see if anything was happening. Will try again for the next session at some point. Maybe the issues will be resolved by then.
