Study + experience Aug 26, 2014

Translators have to be knowledgeable about language and the subject they are translating about, which makes it complicated to choose an interesting study subject, and that means that experience is very important.

Liability Aug 26, 2014

Oleg Rudavin said there is not much liability, and he gives an example of a translator who was sued for a typo on a label. But that translator worked for a translation agency.
However, if you're a translator working for direct clients, you DO have liability towards the translation.
