New location Sep 15, 2007

Hi, we've just thought of another place where we'll most surely be able to meet. The place is called Be Original (BO) and it's near Plaza Catalunya on Ronda Universitat. We tried calling but no one picked up the phone so we will show up right now and ask. The place is huge and it has a separate room, it's really nice I'll let you all know tonight how it went.

Location confirmed:Bracafé Ronda Universitat Sep 16, 2007

Hi everyone! I went to the place I told you about yesterday and it was closed for refurbhishment hahaha! Anyway, next to it there is a new coffee shop from this chain: http://www.bracafe.com/ingles/index.htm. It's a nice place and they have agreed to set up a large table for us on a corner since they don't have a separate room. I have to call next week to let them know the exact number of people ... I have to call next week to let them know the exact number of people so please confirm and let me know if you are bringing someone. It's a regular caffe/bar so there are pastries, baguettes, tapas, cofee, juice, etc. I'll give you the exact address and link to the map soon. By the way, Abraham is my last name, my name is GabrielaCollapse

Bracafé is very nice place! Sep 16, 2007

I've recently been there and it's a very nice place and centrally located. It's quite easy to get there: Metro L1, FGC (L6, L7, S1, S2, S5, S55) and Train (RENFE): Plaça Catalunya. And there are a lot of buses as well.
See you!

Bracafé on Ronda Universitat... Sep 16, 2007

was opened very recently and the web page hasn't been updated yet, I guess. Don't worry as I will give you the exact address but it's pretty easy to find since Ronda Universitat is a pretty short street. The metro stop is Catalunya.

great! Sep 16, 2007

This is very good news, thank you, Gabriela.

Now the only thing I have to worry about is how to cope with the sudden influx of workload before I leave - it's always like this before any journey...

As I mentioned before, we'll be the two of us.

Hi everyone! I have called and confirmed our reservation. We are 17 people but I reserved for 20 in case someone makes up his/her mind at the last minute.
The address is:
Bracafé - Ronda Universitat, 35. You can find a map here: http://maps.google.es/maps?f=q&hl=ca&geocode=&q=Rda%20de%20la%20Universitat,%2035&sll=41.387917,2.169918&sspn=0.17541,0.318604&ie=UTF8&z=16&iwloc=addr&om=1
The closest metro station is Catalunya but you can also get off at Universitat.
It's a smoking place but they will set our table aside and declare it the non-smoking section. We'll have a table in the cafeteria, they have the usual breakfast promotions for less than 2 €: pastry or baguette (warm or cold) and coffee, as well as regular tapas and beverages. They also have a cocktail lounge downstairs in case some people decide to extend brunch into appetizers See you all on Sunday!

some pictures of us Sep 24, 2007

Our meeting maybe has been short but it was interesting indeed. We had very special guests from Hungaria, some extremely young participants (maybe future translators, now three months aged), a very unexpected and uninvited animal guest -escaped from Ratatouille movie. I consider this has been a very interesting and amusing meeting and hope to repeat it in the future. Thanks everyone and see you soon, NADIA
