We tend to share the tasks - when I have time. I tend to spend more time with my children or cooking than cleaning (although, vacuum cleaning is also done quickly)

We have a maid at home all day from Monday to Friday, so housework is not an issue.

My husband has to do most of it, usually I am too busy.

Working from home - I never liked this expression. It sounds like somebody is working at the kitchen table, making a couple of bucks on the side.

Either you are working OR you are at home. Where your office is located doesn't matter.

Yes.

No better ergonomic and mental break than to stand up, do a few dishes, toss a load of laundry in the washer, maybe sweep the porch. By day’s end, I’ve translated 8 hours and done maybe 30-60 minutes of home chores, keeping the house in order, my brain fresh and avoiding eyestrain and backaches.

My wife loves me for it too, so it’s a win/win deal for everyone.)

No way! I got in the habit of having someone come in to help 40 years ago, when I was working full-time. Living in Mexico clinched it. I haven't been able to break it the habit even though I no longer have a family. The people who have helped me out over the years have been a blessing.

No, we have a maid that does the cleaning, ironing, etc.

I live alone so I don't have much choice but to do it myself...

Not many people have maids in Sweden.

Yes, and I resent it! I wish I could move to a place where maids are cheap, as they are prohibitively expensive in Los Angeles...

The way I deal with house work is to do an absolute minimum necessary and not care whether my house looks like I'm competing in "Worlds worst housekeeper" context. In fact, I think I'm close to winning this context...

It definitely depends on the day. I cook lunch and my partner cooks dinner so in that way, we are equal. He generally does the ironing and surface cleaning while I find a few hours once or twice a week to do a big clean, including hoovering. So I guess that we are quite 50/50.
