English to Romanian: How is LAM Treated?
Source text - English Although there is no direct evidence of a relationship between estrogen and LAM, much of the treatment of LAM has focused on reducing the production and effect of estrogen. That’s why women with LAM are advised against taking birth control pills.
Two treatments that have commonly been used in the last twenty years were the administration of medroxyprogesterone, a synthetic version of the hormone progesterone, and/or oophorectomy, and the removal of the ovaries, to stop the body’s main estrogen producer. Neither of these treatments has been scientifically proven. Because of a lack of proven benefit, the risks of surgery, and the possibility of future osteoporosis and heart disease, surgery to remove your ovaries is no longer recommended.
Translation - Romanian Deşi nu s-au descoperit dovezi directe care să indice vreo legătură între estrogen şi limfangioleiomatoza pulmonară (LAM), tratamentul acestei boli s-a orientat în mare parte pe reducerea producţiei şi efectului estrogenului.
