I am a
professional translator. I have been working as a technical and scientific
translator from English and German into Italian for twenty-seven years.

                As regards my background, I
studied Latin and Greek during my high school years and this helped me later in
the university with the study of the English and German language but also with
my work, especially when translating medical and legal texts.

                Actually, my areas of expertise
regard medical, pharmaceutical and legal texts, contracts in particular. I have
an extensive experience in translating scientific papers on optics,
ophthalmology and optometry, manuals on medical devices for the operating room and
robotic surgery.

                In order to keep my job skills
and knowledge up-to-date, in 2020 I attended an online master in technical translation
for translators and interpreters in Medicine and Pharmacology.

                My main interest lies in
terminology search. In the life science field, texts are often very sensitive,
so it is necessary to use precise terms and a correct linguistic rendering in
the target language, without forgetting a pleasant and flowing style.
