Im derzeitigen Prototypen, der auch in Genf stehen wird, leistet ein durch einen Turbolader aufgezwirbelter Suzuki-Motorrad-Motor zirka 360 PS. Es seien auf Kundenwunsch sogar 700 PS möglich, teilt Maskus mit. Doch das wird gar nicht nötig sein. Schon die 360-PS-Version wird aufgrund ihrer nur 359 Kilogramm Leergewicht und eines cW-Wertes von 0,18 bis zu 450 km/h schnell, ehe die Beschleunigung elektronisch abgeregelt wird. In diesen Bereichen ist das Acabion als Zweirad unterwegs. Die beiden Stützräder - offiziell als Landefahrwerk bezeichnet - bleiben nur bis 30 km/h ausgeklappt.

النموذج الاول الحالي الذي سيعرض في جنيف مزود بمحرك دراجة نارية من طراز سوزوكي يصل أداءه الى حوالي 360 قوة حصان من خلال تزويده بشاحن توربو ومحرك يفصل الاوساخ والغبار بواسطة الدوران. ويضيف ماسكوس انه حسب رغبة الزبون يمكن تسريع الاداء حتى 700 قوة حصان. ولكن هذا لن يكون ضرورياً ابداً، اذ ان السيارة بقوة 360 قوة حصان بسبب خفة وزنها الذي يبلغ خالية 359 كيلوغراما وقيمة مقاومة الهواء التي تصل الى 0,18 ستحقق سرعة تصل الى 450 كلم في الساعة قبل تنطيم السرعة الكترونياً. في هذه المجالات فان "اكابيون" بمثابة دراجة هوائية على الطرقات. عجلات المساندة الجانبية، تسمى رسمياً محرك الهبوط، تبقى مفتوحة حتى سرعة 30 كلم في الساعة.
