La OCDE ha rebajado este martes su proyección de crecimiento económico medio de la zona del euro en 2008 en cuatro décimas, para dejarla en un 1,3%, mientras que revisó al alza, en seis décimas, la de Estados Unidos, hasta un 1,8%.
Para Japón, la OCDE proyecta ahora un crecimiento del Producto Interior Bruto (PIB) del 1,2% este año, frente al 1,7% que preveía el pasado junio en su informe semestral de perspectivas. Las nuevas proyecciones figuran en la evaluación "interina" de las perspectivas económicas a corto plazo de los siete países más industrializados y la zona del euro divulgada este martes por la Organización para la Cooperación y el Desarrollo Económico (OCDE). El PIB del G7 -los siete países más industrializados- crecería un 1,4% este año, sin cambio sobre lo proyectado en junio pasado.

El PIB de Alemania crecería un 1,5%, en lugar del 1,9% previsto en junio, el del Reino Unido un 1,2% (frente a un 1,8%), Francia un 1% (en lugar del 1,8%), Italia un 0,1% (frente al 0,5%), y Canadá un 0,8% (frente al 1,2%).

Fase de debilidad
"La tormenta en los mercados de capitales, el repliegue de los mercados inmobiliarios y la carestía de las materias primas siguen pesando en el crecimiento mundial", pero "evolucionan rápidamente", ha indicado el economista jefe interino de la OCDE, Jorgen Elmeskov. Los modelos "dejan entrever una fase de debilidad de la actividad hasta fin de año", pero las "incertidumbres" contribuyen a dar una imagen "especialmente poco clara" del panorama, ha advertido.

En EEUU, la incertidumbre atañe en particular a la rapidez con la que se disiparán los efectos de las medidas temporales de estímulo presupuestario, indica el economista. En la zona del euro y en sus tres economías principales, así como en el Reino Unido, la actividad debería "globalmente estancarse". En Japón, sólo se prevé un repunte "parcial" tras la bajada del PIB registrada en el segundo trimestre, señala.

Inflación moderada
Con respecto a la inflación, impulsada por las fuertes alzas de los precios de la energía y los alimentos, ha indicado que hasta el momento los aumentos salariales parecen controlados y vaticinó que, si los precios de las materias primas se mantienen a sus niveles recientes -incluido el repliegue del petróleo-, se puede prever una "cierta moderación" de la inflación tanto global como subyacente.

Sobre la crisis financiera, opina que los bancos parecen haber registrado en sus balances "lo esencial de las pérdidas" ligadas a las hipotecas de alto riesgo y que las "perturbaciones financieras persistentes" reflejan cada vez más las "señales de debilidad de la economía real" inducida en parte por la disminución de la oferta crediticia y la bajada de los precios de los activos.

On Tuesday the OECD lowered its projection for the average economic growth in the euro zone in 2008 by four percentage points, bringing it down to 1.3%, while raising that of the US economy by six points to 1.8%.
The OECD, in its half-yearly economic outlook report, now foresees a GDP growth of 1.2% this year for Japan compared with 1.7% projected in June. These latest projections appear in the interim assessment of the short term economic outlook for the G7 countries and the euro area published on Tuesday by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) The GDP for the G7, the seven most industrialised countries, is expected to grow by 1.4% this year, which is no change on what was forecasted last June.

Germany’s GDP should increase by 1.5% instead of the 1.9% forecasted in June, in the United Kingdom it will be 1.2% (compared to 1.8%), France, 1% (instead of 1.8%), Italy, 0.1% (compared to 0.5%) and Canada 0.8% (compared to 1.2%).

Period of Weakness
The models “point to weak activity through the end of the year”, but it warns that the “uncertainties” make for a “particularly unclear picture” of the conjuncture. It states that in the US the uncertainty depends particularly on how fast the effects of the temporary fiscal measures will fade.
In the euro area and in its three largest economies as well as in the United Kingdom, economic activity is foreseen to remain “broadly flat”. In Japan, it indicates that only a "partial” bounce back is foreseen following the drop in GDP recorded in the 2nd quarter.

Moderate Inflation With regard to inflation, which has been boosted by the sharp increases in energy and food prices, it states that so far wage increases appear to be contained and predicts that, if commodity prices are sustained at recent levels – and at a lower level in the case of oil – “some moderation” in both headline and underlying inflation can be expected.

Regarding the financial crisis, it believes that the banks appear to have recorded “most of the losses” related to the sub-prime mortgages and that the “continued financial turmoil” increasingly reflects the “signs of weakness in the real economy” resulting partly from the lower credit supply and the fall in asset prices.

Coge los detalles de los antiguos marineros del siglo pasado y los transforma en una imagen moderna, fresca y sofisticada. Esto se entremezcla con la serie de dibujos manga “Sailor Moon”, una serie japonesa de los años 90, lo que le da un toque al estilo heroína de cómic que rompe con la sofisticación y llena la colección de fuerza y magia. Asimismo, un toque de los años 80, donde el estilo marinero se puso muy de moda, le da fuerza y contraste a la nueva colección de verano de Bambi by Laura.

Los tejidos seguirán siendo chiffones y sedas entremezcladas con algodones más urbanos. Esta vez empieza a usar el punto para bodys, leggings y prendas especiales que hacen la colección más completa.

“Sailor Moon”

The 2009 Spring-Summer collection finds its inspiration in the typical sailor suit which takes on a more feminine silhouette. Taking up the old nautical motifs of the last century it transforms them to give the whole collection a more up-to-date, fresh and sophisticated look. This is intermingled with the “Sailor Moon” manga comic-strip theme from the Japanese series of the nineties to provide the collection with a cartoon-heroin style touch which contrasts with the sophistication to pack the collection with a magical and powerful punch. The 1980s retro touch, a time when the nautical look was the height of fashion, provides Bambi by Laura’s new summer collection with drama by striking a contrast.

As regards fabrics, chiffons and silks will continue to prevail, combined with elegant cottons. On this occasion knitted fabrics will be used for bodies and leggings as well as for other special items in order to complete the collection.

Las redes digitales han favorecido el auge de la fabricación distribuida y personalizada de objetos. El llamado movimiento “maker” ha marcado una nueva cultura de lo material, en la que las comunidades locales y personas conectadas a nivel global pueden compartir conocimientos, recetas y habilidades para diseñar y fabricar objetos de manera autónoma. Esto constituye una oportunidad sin precedentes para replantear los modelos de producción, fabricar objetos más adaptados a sus contextos o mejorar el acceso a determinados bienes. A la vez, un enfoque crítico y reflexivo de este fenómeno nos permite ver cuáles son sus límites y sus retos actuales, señalando de este modo la importancia de los contextos de producción donde emerge, los principios de la cultura libre en los que se basa y los cuerpos y afectos que se ponen en juego.

Objetos comunes son objetos cotidianos, pero también objetos compartidos, objetos que crean comunidad y objetos en los que confluyen múltiples saberes y prácticas. Por tanto, objetos que dan forma y transforman nuestra vida en común. Partiendo desde la perspectiva de la cultura hacker y la cultura libre, que han dado lugar a proyectos como Arduino o Reprap imprescindibles para comprender la rápida generalización de la fabricación digital, Objetos comunes plantea diversos interrogantes:

¿Cómo hacer para que sea realmente accesible la fabricación y diseño de estos objetos, más allá de la mera publicación de los planos en plataformas on-line?

¿Cómo responder a una producción de mayor escala que supere a la propia comunidad de inicio?

¿Cómo dialoga la cultura artesanal con las practicas digitales?

¿Qué posibilidad hay de intercambiar estas practicas entre contextos diversos?¿podemos hablar de un horizonte común? ¿Cómo pensar en lo particular sin perder de vista su función dentro de una comunidad y su posibilidad de impacto universal?

¿Como conectar diferentes entornos de lo cotidiano, desde las herramientas profesionales que usamos a diario hasta los objetos domésticos?

¿Como crear colectivamente objetos que sean flexibles en su uso y hechos por y para otros cuerpos?

¿Cómo compaginar la fabricación distribuida con una explotación más sostenible de los recursos naturales?

¿Cómo se documentarían estos procesos en los que es tan importante el conocimiento técnico así como el aspecto relacional de su fabricación?


“Objetos comunes” se compone de diferentes nodos de investigación: los talleres de prototipado colaborativo Funcionamientos: objetos comunes y cuerpos diversos (28-31 octubre y 25-28 noviembre) e Interactivos?: culturas materiales en la era digital (2-16 diciembre), el programa de residencias de fablabs africanos “Grigri Pixel” y otras actividades que se irán sucediendo para confluir a lo largo del proceso en una exhibición y en un encuentro al término del proyecto.

A partir de los prototipos realizados en los talleres, el intercambio de ideas en los grupos de reflexión y una exposición compuesta de piezas realizadas y escogidas a lo largo del proceso de investigación, Objetos comunes quiere compartir prácticas similares en territorios interconectados y dependientes a fin de articular un discurso «común» que defienda y produzca valores de autonomía, igualdad y singularidad, y garantizar, de este modo, la expresión de formas diferentes y posibles de diseño, funcionamiento, fabricación y uso de los objetos que nos rodean y construyen nuestro día a día.

About Maker culture and home manufacture


Objects in Common is a project by Medialab-Prado and Constant
curated by Susana Moliner and Wendy Vann Wynsberghe


Digital media channels have led to the rise in the distributed manufacture of customised objects. The so-called Maker movement has carved out a new type of material culture in which local communities and people, connected to each other on a global scale, can share knowledge, recipes and skills in order to design and create their own objects. It presents an unprecedented opportunity to reassess current production models, to manufacture devices better suited to their particular context and to improve access to a number of objects. At the same time, taking a critical and objective view of this phenomena will allow us to appreciate its limits and the challenges it currently faces, thus highlighting the importance of the manufacturing contexts in which it emerges, the principles of free culture on which its rests and the bodies and emotions that are brought into play.

Objects in common are everyday objects, they are also shared objects, objects that create a community and objects that are a confluence of many skill-sets and practices. They are, therefore, objects that shape and transform our common experience. Based on the concept of the hacker culture and free culture that gave rise to projects such as Arduino and Reprap – both crucial to the understanding of the rapid expansion of digital manufacturing – Objects in Common seeks to raise a number of questions:

How is it possible to make the manufacture and design of these objects really accessible, beyond the mere publication of online plans and platforms?

How does one respond to a larger scale production that is beyond the capacity of the initial community of origin?

How is artisan culture able to converse with digital processes?

What opportunities are there for extending these processes to a range of different contexts? Can we speak of a shared perspective? How can we think about individual needs without losing sight of our role within a community and its potential of having a universal impact?

How do we connect the diversity of everyday contexts, from the professional tools we use every day to our domestic items?

How do we create objects collectively that are flexible in their use and are made by and for other bodies?

How do we reconcile distributed manufacture with the relatively sustainable use of natural resources?

How do we document the processes that are as important for their technical knowledge as they are for the shared aspect of their manufacturing process?


“Objects in Common” consists of various angles of research: collaborative prototyping workshops, Functions: objects in common and diverse bodies (28-31 October and 25-28 November) and Interactives?: material cultures in the digital age (2-16 December), a residency programme of “Grigri Pixel” African Fablabs, as well as other activities that will take place during the project, culminating in an exhibition and a survey on its completion.

Based on the prototypes created in the workshops, the exchange of ideas between the discussion groups and an exhibition comprising the items made and selected over the course of the research, Objects in Common aims to share similar practices in other dependent, interconnected regions in order to articulate a “common” dialogue that defends and engenders the principles of independence, equality and uniqueness and thus ensures that the different potential methods of design, operation, manufacture and use of the objects that form part of and shape our everyday lives are given expression.
