I am originally from Mexico City and came to Canada at a young age. I am fully bilingual and consider myself native in both Spanish and English. I hold graduate degrees from YALE UNIVERSITY in Classical Music Performance (MM, AD) and a Diploma in Professional Translation through the UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO. I am a member of the Translators Site, "Proz", a CERTIFIED Member of the Association of Translators and Interpreters of British Columbia (STIBC) an a member of the Canadian Translators, Terminologists and Interpreters Council.
I am fully immersed in my culture both through family and through regular travel to Mexico in order to maintain a close contact with the nuances of the language and the culture. I also have a number of years of experience in proofreading and editing through the family printing/publishing business.

I am thorough, precise, meticulous and analytical in my work. I will present my clients with a professional translation while preserving the nuances of the original text and the integrity and essence of the written word. I am very open to working closely with the specific needs of my clients.

Nací en la Cd. de México y vine a Canadá a la edad de 10 años. Soy completamente bilingue y considero ambas lenguas como maternas. Me gradué de la Universidad de Yale en Ejecución de Música Clasica (MM,AD) y de la Universidad de Toronto recibiendo un Diplomado en Traducción Profesional. Soy miembro del sitio "Proz", miembro certificado con STIBC (Association of Translators and Interpreters of British Columbia) y del "Canadian Translators, Terminologists and Interpreters Council".

Estoy metida de lleno en mi cultura, tanto atravéz de mi familia como por mis viajes constantes a México, lo cual ha servido para mantener un contacto directo con las complejidades de la lengua y la cultura en general.
