Source text - English An organization cannot properly protect PII it does not know about. This document uses the broad definition of PII from OMB Memorandum 07-165 to identify as many potential sources of risks related to PII as possible. OMB defined PII as “information which can be used to distinguish or trace an individual's identity, such as their name, social security number, biometric records, etc. alone, or when combined with other personal or identifying information which is linked or linkable to a specific individual, such as date and place of birth, mother’s maiden name, etc.”
Translation - Arabic لا تستطيع منظمة توفير حماية سليمة لمعلومات شخصية تجهلها لذلك تستخدم هذه الوثيقة تعريفاً شاملاً لمفهوم المعلومات الشخصية القابلة للتمييز ورد في مذكرة مكتب الإدارة والموازنة الأمريكية رقم 07-16 حيث يحدد بقدر الإمكان العديد من مصادر الخطورة المحتملة المتصلة بتلك المعلومات. يُعرف مكتب الادارة والموازنة البيانات الشخصية القابلة للتمييز بأنها "معلومات يمكن استخدامها لتمييز أو تتبع شخصية أحد الأفراد مثل أسمه ورقم تأمينه الاجتماعي وسجلات مقاييسه الحيوية ... الخ والتي قد ترد مفردة أو عند ربطها بمعلومات شخصية أو معلومات أخرى ذات صلة بهذا الفرد مثل تاريخ ومكان ميلاده أو أسم والدته وغيرها".
