Curriculum vitae
I studied at the electro-technical industrial school and matriculated in the field of electrical devices and instrumentation design. I continued in the same field at the Technical University in Bratislava. I completed 4 terms of postgraduate computer programming at the Technical University in Bratislava. I worked in a chemical factory for 2 years where I was very interesting in the Measuring and Control engineering system of all types, including chemical analysers in production. This instrumentation had manual in English and in German. I had improved my knowledge of technical terms in both languages. Moreover, I worked in field measure and control engineering systems in a factory for the production of glass fibres. I was the head of the technical development there.
I worked in the preparation and realisation department in investment construction works headquarters staff for 6 years. Then I received an offer to work in NPP (Nuclear Power station), again in preparation and realisation department of investment actions. The second postgraduate studies I completed for NPP operation at TU in Bratislava and I worked then 16 years in operation department of NPP.

During this period of my life, I was interested in English and German languages, so that my language knowledge actually copies my professional career.

Nowadays I am a translator in English and German.
I have all dictionaries and workbooks that were possible for me to buy during last twenty-five years, for technical areas on the Slovak book-market. The greater part the dictionaries I have in electronic for - on CD. I translate with SDL Trados 2006 program. The scanner is very helpful for translation of diagram connections and for similar pictures.
I translate documentation for technical fields En ð Sk ð En, Ge ð Sk ð Ge, including contracts. I sometimes give universal documentation for editing to the people with corresponding mother tongue. Translation through internet gives me the greatest pleasure as it enables operative services for the customer. I realise large translation projects in cooperation with my friends from NPP.
I am member of the Slovak Association of Technical Literature Translators. This association organizes many informational meetings-educates the translators.
I have translated many technical materials for NPP Bohunice, practically for all technical fields, during the 20 years of my work in this branch. Now I translate for projection offices with foreign activities and for individual companies too.
