I left my native city of Prague at the age of 11 and lived in the UK and Canada before settling in New Jersey, USA. I received my English Degree with High Honors from Rutgers University in 1999 and was a recipient of the Schaeffer Fellowship in Translation from University of California at Irvine in February 2004.
I have been back in the Czech Republic since 2005 and have built a career here as a professional translator with a focus on software localization (finance, banking). I also freelance as a marketing, medical and academic (history and literature) translator.
A true bilingual, I am able to translate both Czech into English and English into Czech with an equal level of native proficiency. |
