Defining what a Twin Flame is is quite subtle. To have a good and full understanding of it, it is necessary not to approach this notion from the point of view of the mind simply by taking into account what we know about relationships.
Your Twin Flame is your soul twin, that is, the soul that comes from the same "divine cocoon" as your Essence. Your souls were born at the same time. Your Twin Flame is the one who is your other self as a soul.
We all have a Twin Flame somewhere; whether it is embodied or not.
We are bound to our Twin Flame by a spiritual "permanent cordon" that cannot be cut and that exists beyond time, space and distance.
One of the souls is of a "feminine" energy, and the other is of a "feminine" energy, "male". This polarity, whether feminine or masculine at the level of their divine Essence, does not change during the incarnations. On the other hand, sex can change from one incarnation to another.
