Source text - English The word Kaizen comes from the Japanese words for school and wisdom. It refers to a system for making improvements which aims to make sure that any business remains at the cutting edge in terms of quality, processes, technology and productivity.
Kaizen generally focuses on solving a large number of small problems rather than dealing with major changes. Usually the changes are to do with improving productivity or reducing waste. In addition, in many companies the attitude is ‘if it isn’t broken, don’t fix it’ whereas Kaizen does not involve just fixing problems. Even if something seems to be working well, staff should still think how they can make it even better.
Translation - Arabic يعود أصل كلمة كايزن (Kaizen) الى اللغة اليابانية وتختصر كلمتي مدرسة وحكمة. يشير هذا النظام الى اجراء تغييرات للأفضل لضمان بقاء أي شركة في المقدمة بما يخص الجودة، العمليات، التكنولوجيا والإنتاجية.
لا تركز كايزن على المشاكل الكبيرة كتطوير الإنتاجية و تقليل الهدر, انما تهدف لإيجاد حلول لعدد كبير من المشاكل الصغيرة. تتبع العديد من الشركات استراتيجية "اذا لم تتعطل الالة لا تصلحها", بينما كايزن لا تؤكد فقط على حل المشكلات انما أيضا على تشجيع طاقمها للقيام بتطوير عمل الالة حتى قبل تعرضها لأي مشكلة.

English Language Teaching (ELT) is my profession. To be more specific, my
major is English for Specific Purposes (ESP) and I got an MA in it from Warwick
University, Britain in 2004. Since then, I have been teaching English for
law, medicine, nursing, dentistry, engineering, architecture, economics,
literature, transport and maritime English. Each type gave me a unique
experience of approaching a specific field very closely to learn and teach
university students the relevant skills, vocabulary and terminology. In
addition, I attended many workshops on ELT and worked as an interpreter in a
conference about maritime safety.
