- Δύο πόλεις μια ιστορία -
(Battaglia di Lepanto): Η Ναυμαχία της Ναυπάκτου, 7 Οκτωβρίου 1571. Ημερομηνία όπου ο Τουρκικός στόλος νικήθηκε από τους Χριστιανούς και έτσι, απελευθερώθηκε η Ναύπακτος από τον Τουρκικό ζυγό. Είναι ημερομηνία που ο πάπας Πίος ο Ε' την καθιέρωσε ως τιμή και δόξα και ημέρα εορτής αφιερωμένη στην Παναγία την Ναυπακτιώτισσα, που με τη βοήθειά της επενέβη θαυματουργικά και ελευθερώθηκε ο τόπος. Από τον 5° αιώνα, χρονολογείται ναός όπου λατρευόταν η Παναγία η Ναυπακτιώτισσα (Madonna di Lepanto). Ήταν ιδιαίτερα θαυματουργή για τη Ναύπακτο και την Ναυπακτία. 'Όμως, το μεγαλύτερο θαύμα επετεύχθη το 1571, όταν ολόκληρος ο χριστιανικός στόλος της Ευρώπης μαζί με 8.000 Έλληνες, συγκρούστηκε με τους Οθωμανούς, που σκοπό είχαν - αν νικούσαν -- τον εξισλαμισμό της Ευρώπης.
Οι προσευχές των Ελλήνων και των Ευρωπαίων εισακούσθηκαν. Οι Καθολικοί προσεύχονταν με το κομποσκοίνι τους (δηλ. το Ροζάριο) γι' αυτό και την Παναγία Ναυπακτιώτισσα εκτός από Madonna di Lepanto την αναπαριστούν με το κομποσκίνι και την ονομάζουν Madonna del Rosario. 'Έτσι αποδυναμώθηκαν οι Τούρκοι, που είχαν φτάσει μέχρι τη Βιέννη. Σε όλη την Ευρώπη τιμάται η Παναγία τον μήνα Οκτώβριο ως Madonna di Lepanto ή ως Madonna del Rosario και σε πολλά μέρη ανεγέρθηκαν περικαλλείς ναοί, ναΐσκοι, εκκλησίες πού την τιμούν ανάλογα.
Translation - Greek Nafpaktos - Venice
Two cities one story
(Battaglia di Lepanto): The Battle of Lepanto, October 7, 1571. Date when the Turkish fleet was defeated by the Christians and thus, Nafpaktos was liberated from the Turkish yoke. It is a date that Pope Pius V established it as an honor and glory and a day of celebration dedicated to Virgin Naupaktiotissa, who helped him miraculously to intervene and liberate the place.
There is a church dated to the 5th century, where the Virgin Naupaktiotissa (Madonna di Lepanto) was worshiped. It was especially miraculous for Nafpaktos and Nafpaktia. However, the greatest miracle was achieved in 1571, when the entire Christian fleet in Europe, along with 8,000 Greeks, clashed with the Ottomans, who aimed - if they would win - at the Islamization of Europe.
The prayers of Greeks and Europeans were heard. The Catholics prayed with their rosary (i.e. the Rosary) for this reason Virgin Naupaktiotissa, apart from Madonna di Lepanto, is represented with the rosary and is called Madonna del Rosario. Thus the Turks, who had reached Vienna, were weakened. Throughout Europe, the Virgin Mary is honored in October as Madonna di Lepanto or Madonna del Rosario, and in many places, beautiful temples, naiskos, churches have been erected to honor her accordingly.

Source text - French Le Festival de Cannes a dévoilé mercredi sa « sélection officielle », une liste de 56 films bénéficiant d’un label spécialement créé après l’annulation de sa 73e édition. Parmi ces films, on trouve un peu plus de réalisatrices qu’à l’accoutumée : elles sont 16 à présenter un film, contre 14 en 2019, soit 28,5 % contre 23,7 % l’année dernière, selon un communiqué du festival. Un chiffre à comparer avec le nombre de réalisatrices qui ont soumis leur film à la sélection qui est également faible, plus faible en proportion que le nombre de réalisatrices choisies par le festival : elles étaient seulement 532 réalisatrices, soit 25,7 % du total. Il y avait 11 réalisatrices en 2018, 12 en 2017, 9 en 2016 et 6 en 2015, précise aussi ce même communiqué. « On se targue que la France soit le pays le plus favorable à la présence des femmes dans le cinéma, mais c’est seulement 23% des films de cinéma produits dans l’année qui sont réalisés par des femmes alors que dans les écoles, il y a 50% de filles. Les filles disparaissent, parce que leurs budgets sont moins importants, et qu’elles mettent plus de temps à récolter la confiance », explique à 20 Minutes Sandrine Brauer, productrice de cinéma et cofondatrice du collectif 50/50, qui promeut l’égalité des femmes et des hommes et la diversité dans le cinéma et l’audiovisuel.
