Source text - English GIST Diagnosis
After asking questions about your symptoms and medical history, your doctor will examine you carefully, checking for a growth in your abdomen. If signs and symptoms suggest you may have a GIST, tests to locate it and then determine its likelihood of spreading (metastasizing) to other organs will follow. These tests may include:
• Contrast-enhanced computerized tomography (CT) scan.
For this test, you swallow a liquid that makes your stomach and small intestine more visible on X-rays. You may also receive an injection of a similar substance. Then the scanner takes numerous X-rays as it moves over your abdomen. A computer combines the X-rays into detailed, cross-sectional images of your abdominal organs, showing the size and position of the tumor.
• Upper endoscopy.
The doctor examines the inner lining of the esophagus, stomach and the first part of the small intestine with a flexible, lighted tube (endoscope) passed down through your mouth. It may be possible to take small samples of abnormal tissue during an upper endoscopy. During this test, you'll receive a mild relaxing medication (sedative) through an intravenous line.
• Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS).
This test also uses an endoscope, but with an ultrasound probe on the tip of the scope. As sound waves from the probe create echoes that bounce back to the probe, a computer translates the echoes into an image of the structures in the abdomen, showing the precise location of the tumor. If the tumor has metastasized to your liver or the lining of your abdomen, these areas may also be visible. An EUS also helps determine the depth of the tumor within the wall of the stomach or other locations in the gastrointestinal tract.

It is becoming clear that the first 21st century clash of civilisations – if there is to be one – will not pit Christians against Muslims but one branch of Islam against another. In yet another escalation of the Middle East crisis sparked by the disastrous American-led occupation of Iraq, The Business has learnt that, in response to Shia Iran’s ambitions to possess a nuclear arsenal, Sunni Saudi Arabia has plans to create a nuclear capability of its own. In a development that risks turning the Middle East into a nuclear powder keg, Western and Middle Eastern sources have told this magazine that, if and when it is clear that Iran has the bomb (or is close to it), the Saudis will respond by buying one from Pakistan, a fellow Sunni state. They would also likely purchase Pakistani ballistic missiles to replace the Chinese ones they bought in the 1980s. Everything is already in place for this to happen.

• Have you ever sketched? If you do what is the thing you sketched and why did you sketched it?
Consider an Architect who wants to design a building, a Mechanical Engineer who wants to design a machine or a machine part; an Industrial Engineer who wants to design a plant layout; how would he/she start the design? Practically all starts and put their idea with freehand sketch. Freehand sketching is one of the most effective ways to communicate a pictorial or verbal idea to a workman. Sketching may be schematic, expressing new ideas, or instructional to convey ideas to draftsmen. After these ideas, concepts, and details for a project have been finalized, precise technical drawings are produced using instruments so that parts may be manufactured or constructed.
Freehand sketches are also used by engineers to clarify, evaluate and record preliminary ideas and concepts. Sketches can be used by all persons irrespective of their specialization to support their ideas with figures.
The fundamental concepts in technical drawing are the same weather instrumental or freehand drawing is used in representing or transferring ideas. But freehand sketching is preferable to draw easily and freely as hand writing, and the mind of the sketcher would be free to concentrate upon an idea, not upon the technique of sketching the idea.
