There were nights on which he saw the rings of Saturn, which is more than a billion kilometres away, or the moon which isn’t that far. That’s what they saw that night. The orangish rings. Through his giant telescope one night in a small town called Dholpur in the ravines of Chambal.


Actor Ranveer Shorey remembers the Jupiter coming in between. But he remembers the rings. That’s how they looked into infinity on some nights in that remote town. They had been camping in the town for the shooting of Sonchiriya. The late actor Sushant Singh Rajput had organised a little get-together on the occasion of some astronomical event where the moon was aligning with some planets. That's how he was. Different. उस रात उन्होंने शनि ग्रह के छल्ले को देखा था. आसमान में करोड़ों किलोमीटर दूर उन्हें यह नज़ारा दिखा था. चांद भी दिखा था. उस टेलीस्कोप से जो चंबल के बीहड़ों में बसे छोटे से-क़स्बे धौलपुर में उन्होंने लगाया था.

उन रातों को याद करते हुए अभिनेता रणवीर शौरी बताते हैं कि किस तरह इन सबके बीच गुरू ग्रह भी दिख रहा था लेकिन वे सिर्फ़ उन नारंगी छल्लों को याद कर रहे थे. वे याद करते हैं कि किस तरह उन्होंने बीहड़ के बीच उस क़स्बे में बिताई कुछ रातों को आसमान में अनंत की ओर देखा था.

धौलपुर में लोग अपनी फ़िल्म 'सोनचिरैया' की शूटिंग के लिए डेरा जमाए हुए थे. उसी दौरान दिवंगत अभिनेता सुशांत सिंह राजपूत ने कुछ विलक्षण आकाशीय घटनाओं को देखने के लिए एक मजमा जुटाया था. उस रात चांद कुछ दूसरे ग्रहों की सीध में आने वाला था, तो कुछ इस तरह के थे सुशांत. थोड़े अलग-से.
