I am a native English speaker translating Italian into English, and have previously published translations: in 2016 I was shortlisted for the Italian Cultural Institute's inaugural Prize for Literary Translation and also translated the 10,000 word novella "Luna" (English title: "Moon") by Anna Nihil for the online company BabelCube. The author gave me a rating of five out of five and called me "un traduttore straordinario", or "an extraordinary translator". In 2017 I also translated a 40,000 word novel, again for BabelCube, and between 2019 and 2020 I translated a series of press releases for the Torino Short Film Market, a reputable film festival in Turin- they were officially used in the festival. I have also collaborated on a subtitling project for the multicultural awareness project "Youth in the City" in Prato. I am currently midway through a Master in Translation and Interpreting Studies at Monash University, and have consistently received excellent marks for my translation work. If potential clients would be interested in seeing an example, I am happy to comply. |
