Source text - English Without prejudice to any provision of any Restructuring Document excluding or limiting the Investment Agent's liability, any liability of the Investment Agent arising under or in connection with any Restructuring Document or the Restructuring Security shall be limited to the amount of actual loss which has been finally judicially determined to have been suffered (as determined by reference to the date of default of the Investment Agent or, if later, the date on which the loss arises as a result of such default) but without reference to any special conditions or circumstances known to the Investment Agent at any time which increase the amount of that loss. In no event shall the Investment Agent be liable for any loss of profits, goodwill, reputation, business opportunity or anticipated saving, or for special, punitive, indirect or consequential damages, whether or not the Investment Agent has been advised of the possibility of such loss or damages.

Source text - English 1. DEVELOPMENTSIN THE SUKUK MARKET
During 2017, Sukuk and bond issuances were around USD 104 Bn, up 2% as compared to 2016. Saudi Arabia accounted for almost 40% of the debt issuances in 2017. Sovereign debt issuances accounted for 89% as compared to 11% for corporates. Moreover, Sukuk share among debt issuances in GCC is growing rapidly, volume of the Sukuk issuances went up 81% in 2017 as compared to 2016 with around USD 23 Bn. We are expecting the Sukuk issuances to continue its rapid growth as investors showing great demand for this instrument.
2. OBJECTIVES OF SUKUK INVESTMENTS
The objective of this program is to achieve yield enhancement and Treasury asset portfolio diversification through Sukuk investment. Sukuk issued by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ministry of Finance, which are reserve and high quality liquid assets (HQLA) eligible from regulatory liquidity ratio management point of view are covered under separate Liquidity Management Sukuk limit already approved by the Board of Directors.
The Bank will invest in a portfolio of fixed and floating rate Shariah compliant Sukuk of corporations, non KSA governments and government related issues primarily in the MENA region.

بلغت إصدارات الصكوك والسندات خلال عام 2017م حوالي 104 مليار دولار أمريكي، بزيادة نسبتها 2٪ مقارنةً بعام 2016م. شكَّلت المملكة العربية السعودية ما نسبته 40٪ تقريبًا من إصدارات الديون في عام 2017م وشكَّلت إصدارات الديون السيادية ما نسبته 89٪ مقارنةً بنسبة 11٪ للشركات. علاوةً على ذلك، تشهد حصة الصكوك بين إصدارات الديون في دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي نموًا سريعًا، حيث ارتفع حجم إصدارات الصكوك بنسبة 81٪ في عام 2017م مقارنةً بقيمة 23 مليار دولار أمريكي في عام 2016. نتوقع أن تواصل إصدارات الصكوك نموها السريع حيث أقبل المستثمرون على هذا الصكوك إقبالًا كبيرًا.
2- أهداف الاستثمارات في الصكوك
يهدف هذا البرنامج إلى تحسين العوائد وتنويع محفظة أصول الخزينة من خلال الاستثمار في الصكوك. تُغطى الصكوك الصادرة عن وزارة المالية السعودية، والتي تمثل الاحتياطي والأصول السائلة عالية الجودة المؤهلة من منظور إدارة معدل السيولة النظامي، ضمن حدود صكوك إدارة السيولة المنفصلة والمعتمدة من مجلس الإدارة.
سيستثمر المصرف في محفظة من الصكوك الثابتة والعائمة المتوافقة مع الشريعة الاسلامية للشركات والإصدارات ذات الصلة بالحكومات غير السعودية وذات الصلة بالحكومات في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا على نحو أساسي.
