Bilingual technical translator for Russian and Spanish with solid construction background.

My love translating had started as a hobby and became an essential part of my life. Every translation is different. There are a lot of nuances, the mood of the speaker or a slang this one uses. It gives you an opportunity to discover different knowledge areas and show you what your brain is capable of. I do like challenges and that is why I translate with passion. 

I was born in Saint-Petersburg, Russia, and when I was 13, I moved to Spain, where I finished my high school education and University. I hold BEng in Building Engineering.

During my college period I started working as Technical Translator (from Russian to Spanish) for an engineering consulting company which was outsourced to review projects and documentation for tenders in Russia. After that, I was hired as Technical Translator and Project Manager Assistant by one of the most important civil engineering construction companies in Spain, SACYR. This job experience offered me an opportunity to work as interpreter (From Russian to Spanish and vice versa), doing consecutive and chuchotage technical translations on negotiation meetings with our local partner for tenders in Russia. Also I had the pleasure to work as Area Sales Manager and Translator for the Spanish manufacturer of geotechnical and mining/drilling equipment -  TECSO S.A. This position implied deep knowledge and technical lexicon in geotechnical and mining sector. I was responsible for creating a Russian version of a catalog for very specific drilling equipment, translating contracts, preparing export documents, product passports in Russian and attend meetings as interpreter for the Sales Director in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and Russia.
