As a result, my inner motive has moved toward the battlefields, when hope has evaporated from our hearts. As you see an Indian wise urges others without fighting (4), African leopards complicate freedom on the hills, and flacons build their nests over the impossibility.
Translation - Arabic بل هي يا عزيزي دموع التماسيح، وسموم الأفاعي بين صمت وفحيح(1)، حينما بدأت التماسيح الرقطاء سطوتها، طالبة من القاطنين في الواحة تنفيذ رغبتها، مدعية أنَّ حرية الأرواح والأبدان وجهتها، وأنَّ مصالح الأنام قبلتها وغايتها، ثم شرعت ترسم بريشة الدماء الملوثة خطتها، وتُجَمّل بالدهاء أركان سياستها، حتى تغلغل في الآفاق صدى نبرتها، وأثّت(2)في أوصال الواحات سموم فكرتها(3).
من هنا بدأ الحراك بداخلي إلى ساحات النضال، حين تبخَّرت من قلوبنا آخر قطرات الآمال، فهذا حكيم الهند يروم الحكمة دون القتال(4) ، وفهود إفريقيَة يأزمون الحرية فوق التلال، وتبنى صقورالواحات عشها فوق ربوة المحال.

Source text - English The most essential subjects in the first week of the
Washington round of talks, which ended last
Thursday, were Israel's proposal for limited
autonomy for Palestinians in the occupied West
Bank and Gaza Strip, and the start of a meaningful
dialogue between Israel and Syria. However,
beyond the positive tone and improved atmosphere
compared to earlier rounds of bilateral talks, there
was little apparent progress on basic issues.
Israel is suggesting the Palestinians an elected
administrative council for a five-year period in the
occupied territories. In her point of view, the goal
of the current talks is to work out an interim
arrangement for limited autonomy, with a final
decision on the future of the territories being
deferred for subsequent negotiations after a trial
period of co-existence. The Palestinians see this as
a reworking of former proposals, and want a body
that would have legislative powers. The Israelis
counter that that would amount to a sovereign
parliament and is unacceptable.

الآن عن تقدم كبير علي ما يبدو في القضايا الجوهرية.
وتقترح إسرائيل على الفلسطينيين تشكيل مجلس إداري منتخب لمدة
خمس سنوات في الأراضي المحتلة. وترى أن هدف المحادثات
الراهنة الاتفاق علي تفاصيل ترتيبات مؤقتة لحكم ذاتي محدود مع
إرجاء القرار النهائي لمستقبل الأراضي المحتلة ليتقرر في
مفاوضات تالية عقب فترة تجريبية من التعايش بين الطرفين وينظر
الفلسطينيون إلي هذه الخطوة على أنها إنهاء إعادة صياغة مقترحات
سابقة ويريدون تشكيل هيئة تتمتع بصلاحيات تشريعية ويقول
الإسرائيليون من جهتهم إن ذلك سيكون بمثابة برلمان ذي سيادة
وعلى ذلك فهو غير مقبول.
