Pourquoi les langues à travers le monde sont-elles si différentes tout en ayant tant en commun ?
Comment le cerveau humain peut-il transformer des séquences de sons en un flot aussi impressionnant d’informations ?
La discipline qui peut répondre à de telles questions est la linguistique.
La linguistique est l’étude scientifique du langage. C’est une discipline qui existe depuis des millénaires, mais qui n’a connu son véritable essor qu’à compter du XXe siècle en tant qu’approche scientifique des faits de langue.
Pourquoi étudie-t-on la linguistique ?
Il n’y a pas de domaine de la vie sociale dont la langue soit absente. Les sociétés humaines sont continuellement confrontées à des problèmes de nature linguistique. Les préoccupations liées au choix des langues dans les sociétés multilingues et à la survie des langues menacées guident l’élaboration de politiques d’aménagement linguistique. Le développement de sociétés éduquées repose crucialement sur le développement des habiletés langagières des citoyennes et citoyens, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit, et l’alphabétisation des populations est un enjeu de société majeur.
Le langage est l’une des facultés humaines les plus complexes. Au niveau de la compréhension de l’être humain, la description des langues offre une fenêtre inestimable sur le fonctionnement du cerveau humain. Ainsi, l’une des contributions majeures de Noam Chomsky, la figure dominante de la linguistique au XXe siècle, a été de placer l’acquisition du langage au cœur de la théorie linguistique : étant donné que toute personne normalement constituée maîtrise une ou plusieurs langues, on doit se demander quels aspects de la langue sont appris à partir des apports de l’environnement, quels aspects proviennent d’éléments innés dans le cerveau, et comment fonctionne la faculté de langage. Mais comment les linguistes abordent-ils cette étude scientifique du langage ?
Les linguistes étudient le langage humain dans tous ses aspects. Les finalités des recherches en linguistique peuvent aller de la résolution de problèmes concrets au désir de comprendre la faculté de langage de l’être humain. Il est traditionnel de distinguer la linguistique fondamentale de la linguistique appliquée, bien qu’il n’y ait pas de frontière étanche entre les notions couvertes par ces termes.
La linguistique fondamentale recouvre l’étude des aspects formels des langues tels que la phonétique, la phonologie, la morphologie, la syntaxe, la sémantique et la pragmatique. Appliquée à une langue donnée, l’étude de ces aspects formels constitue l’étude de la grammaire de cette langue. Une comparaison des grammaires des langues permet de mettre au jour les caractéristiques des langues humaines. Dans le cas du français, ce qu’on appelle la grammaire moderne ou nouvelle est une mise à jour de la grammaire traditionnelle sur la base des résultats des recherches linguistiques. Linguistics is the scientific study of languages. It is a discipline that has existed for millennia, but which did not really flourish until the 20th century as a scientific approach to the facts of language.
Why study linguistics?
There is no domain of social life from which language is absent. Human societies are constantly confronted with problems in natural linguistics. The concerns linked to the choice of languages in multilingual societies and the survival of endangered languages guide the development of language management policies.The development of educated societies is crucially based on the development of the language skills of citizens, both oral and written, and the literacy of populations is a major societal issue.
Language is one of the most complex human faculties. In terms of human comprehension, the description of languages offers an invaluable window on the function of the human brain. Thus, one of the major contributions of Noam Chomsky, the dominant figure in linguistics in the 20th century, was to place language acquisition at the heart of linguistic theory: given that any normal person masters one or more languages, one must ask oneself which aspects of the language are learned from the contributions of the environment, which aspects come from innate elements in the brain, and how the faculty of language works. This conception is at the source of the current explosion of research aimed at validating theoretical linguistic descriptions using techniques of experimental psycholinguistics or brain imagery.
The applications of linguistic research is innumerable. Methods of teaching reading and writing, methods of teaching second languages, language assessment tests (for example: speech therapy), dictionaries, grammars, search engines, speech recognition and synthesis tools, translation or linguistic search tools, automatic summaries; these familiar tools and many others are based on linguistic knowledge and a conception of the nature of language and how it is processed in the brains of individuals.
But how do linguists approach this scientific study of languages?
Linguists study human language in all its aspects. The purposes of linguistic research can range from solving concrete problems to wanting to understand human language skills. Traditionally, we distinguish between theoretical linguistics and applied linguistics, although there is no hard and fast border between the concepts covered by these terms.
Theoretical linguistics covers the study of formal aspects of languages, such as phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, and pragmatics. Applied to a given language, the study of these formal aspects makes up the grammar of said language. A comparison of language grammar reveals the characteristics of human languages. In the case of French, what is called modern or new grammar is an update of traditional grammar based on the results of linguistic research. The grammar for teaching French is based on this modern grammar.
So-called “applied” linguistics covers all of the interdisciplinary areas of research and practice relating to language and communication problems which can be identified, analyzed and resolved by applying linguistic knowledge, and which in turn can inform linguistic knowledge. The Department of Linguistics at UQAM is interested in three main areas of intervention in applied linguistics: psycholinguistics (including first and second language acquisition), sociolinguistics, and computational linguistics.
The general field called psycholinguistics studies human language as embodied in the individual. This fundamentally experimental field of study, which is part of the cognitive sciences, focuses on the mental representation of linguistic knowledge as well as on the processes and conditions of language acquisition and use. Therefore, it covers research on the acquisition of first language and second languages, whether oral or written.
The general field called sociolinguistics studies human language as embodied by societies. Among the fields of specialization covered by this term, we can note linguistic variation, the sociology of language, multilingualism, linguistic conflicts, linguistic planning.
The field of computational linguistics studies the use of computer technologies either for the automatic generation of language, or for the processing of linguistic data in order to analyze, model, formalize or store them. With the universalisation of computer technologies, this domain has become more and more important.
The advancement of linguistic knowledge has had a significant impact on several disciplines where language plays a central role, such as in psychology, computer science, and philosophy. The interaction between these disciplines has also given rise to a particularly flourishing interdisciplinary field, that of "cognitive science.”

Swing ist ein in der zweiten Hälfte der 1920er-Jahre entstandener Jazzstil, der sich vor allem in den Big Bands der afroamerikanischen Bandleader
FLETCHER HENDERSON (1898–1952) und
DUKE ELLINGTON (1899–1974) herausgebildet hat.
Ab Mitte der 1930er-Jahre wurde durch die spektakulären Erfolge des Orchesters von BENNY GOODMAN (1909–1986) daraus ein Massenphänomen, das die Jugend der damaligen Zeit in seinen Bann zog und mit einer Reihe wilder Tanzmoden verbunden war.
Eingeleitet wurde diese Entwicklung durch die – zunächst um des Schauwerts willen – vereinzelt vorgenommene Erweiterung der kleinen Jazz-Ensembles auf die Ausmaße einer Big Band.
Das zog zwangsläufig Veränderungen nach sich.
Musikalische Kennzeichen
An die Stelle des bis dahin für den Jazz charakteristischen spontanen Aufeinander-Reagierens im Musizieren auf der Basis vorher getroffener Absprachen (Head Arrangement) trat im Swing nun das geschriebene Arrangement, denn anders war das Zusammenspiel bei einer größeren Anzahl von Musikern nicht mehr zu organisieren.
Hinter jeder erfolgreichen Band stand damit im Swing ein profilierter Arrangeur.
Die Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten für die Musiker blieben jetzt auf die in den Stückablauf eingefügten Soli beschränkt.
Die durcharrangierten Stücke ließen dafür aber einen erheblichen Ausbau der harmonischen Basis zu, so dass immer kompliziertere Akkordfolgen mit spätromantisch-impressionistischen Einflüssen, chromatischen Vorhalts-, Durchgangs- und Wechselakkorden das musikalische Geschehen zu beherrschen begannen.
Damit setzte sich auch der homophone Satzaufbau, der sich im Chicago Jazz schon angedeutet hatte, endgültig durch.
Zum wichtigsten und Namen gebenden Kennzeichen der neuen Spielweise wurde jedoch die „swing“ genannte metrisch-rhythmische Eigenschaft des Jazz, die hier mit dem durchgängigem Offbeat-Spiel ganzer Melodiepassagen (Offbeat-Phrasierung) eine besondere Dominanz erhielt.
So wurde jetzt zum Stilkriterium, was zuvor nur als ein Mittel der Ausdruckssteigerung im Jazz an den melodischen Höhepunkten eingesetzt war.
Geschichte
Als erste weiße Band dieses Stils begann das CASA LOMA ORCHESTRA des Altsaxophonisten GLEN GRAY (1906–1963) ab Ende der 1920er-Jahre mit der Popularisierung des Swing.
Wirklich durchgesetzt hat er sich jedoch ab 1935 dann mit dem Orchester von BENNY GOODMAN.
Eine nicht unwesentliche Rolle spielte der Rundfunk dabei, eine zwischen Dezember 1934 und Mai 1935 als Werbekampagne von der National Biscuit Company organisierte Radio-Show mit drei Bands unterschiedlicher Stilrichtung, darunter auch das BENNY GOODMAN ORCHESTRA, die über die Rundfunkstationen der NBC wöchentlich landesweit ausgestrahlt wurde und den Siegeszug des Swing einleitete.
„Let’s Dance“ (1934), die Erkennungsmelodie des Goodman-Orchesters, wurde zum Synonym für den Swing.
In der Folge dessen kam fast schlagartig noch eine Reihe anderer Bands zu großer Popularität, die dann neben dem Goodman-Orchester zu den Hauptrepräsentanten des Swing gehörten:
die Band des Klarinettisten ARTIE SHAW (1910–2004), die die ersten Aufnahmen im Jazz mit Streichern machte,
das Ensemble des Pianisten EARL HINES (1905–1983) und
die DORSEY BROTHERS BAND der Brüder JIMMY DORSEY (1904–1957) und TOMMY DORSEY (1905–1956) mit GLENN MILLER (1904–1944) als Arrangeur, der später selbst eine zu Welterfolg gekommene Band leitete.
Dass die künstlerischen Leiter jetzt Instrumente vertraten, die bisher nicht als Lead-Instrumente (Führungsinstrumente) üblich gewesen sind, weist darauf hin, dass mit dem Swing-Stil sich auch die Funktion einzelner Instrumente im Jazz veränderte.
So wurden nun alle Rhythmusinstrumente auch als vollwertige und gleichberechtigte Soloinstrumente behandelt, was insbesondere dem Klavier eine weitaus größere Bedeutung eingebracht hat.
Die Klarinette war jetzt häufig als Soloinstrument eingesetzt, und es entstand der Bläsersatz, der die Blasinstrumente wie einen einheitlichen, in sich geschlossenen und homogenen Klangkörper führt.
Mit der E-Gitarre, dem Vibraphon und dem Xylophon kamen neue Melodieinstrumente hinzu.

Immer deutlicher prägte sich im Swing auch der Doppelcharakter aus, den der Jazz im Spannungsfeld zwischen Tanzmusik und konzertanter Darbietung inzwischen angenommen hatte:
Swing war sowohl eine Tanzmusik, die in den dreißiger Jahren zunächst in den USA, dann weltweit, eine Popularität erhielt wie Musik nie zuvor.
Das führte freilich auch zur kommerziellen Anpassung an den massenhaften Publikumsgeschmack, der durch die Tin-Pan-Alley-Schlager jener Jahre geprägt war und den Jazz von seinen ursprünglichen Wurzeln in der afroamerikanischen Musik weit entfernte.
Aus den Big Bands lösten sich aber auch kleine Experimentalformationen heraus, Trios, Quartette und Combo-Besetzungen bis zu acht Mann, die den klanglichen Möglichkeiten unterschiedlicher Instrumentalkombinationen nachgingen und die Ausdrucksmittel des Jazz auf der Grundlage des Swing-Stils zu erweitern suchten – ein Prozess, der Mitte der vierziger Jahre dann im Bebop eine Fortsetzung fand.

Hallmarks of the Music
Instead of spontaneously reacting to each other when making music, which had been characteristic of jazz, on the basis of previous agreements (head arrangement), the written arrangement was now used in swing, because interactions could no longer be organized with a larger number of musicians.
Behind every successful swing band was a high-profile arranger.
The possibility of expression for musicians was now limited to the solos inserted into the compositions.
However, the well-arranged pieces allowed a considerable expansion of the harmonic basis, so that more and more complicated chord sequences with late romantic-impressionistic influences, chromatic lead, passage and alternating chords began to dominate the musical scene.
Thus, the homophonic sentence structure, which had already been hinted at in Chicago Jazz, finally prevailed.
The most important and name-giving feature of the new style of play, however, was the “swing” metric-rhythmic quality of jazz, which was given a special dominance here through continuously playing entire melody passages offbeat (offbeat phrasing).
So now, the style criterion became what was previously only used as a means of increasing expression in jazz at the melodic highlights.
History
As the first white band of this style, CASA LOMA ORCHESTRA's alto saxophonist GLEN GRAY (1906–1963) began to popularize swing in the late 1920s.
From 1935, however, it really prevailed due to the BENNY GOODMAN orchestra.
Radio played a significant role in this; a radio show was organized by the National Biscuit Company between December 1934 and May 1935 as an advertising campaign with three bands of different styles, including the BENNY GOODMAN ORCHESTRA, which was broadcast weekly nationwide on the NBC radio stations and ushered in the swing's triumph.
"Let’s Dance" (1934), the signature tune of the Goodman Orchestra, became synonymous with swing.
As a result, a number of other bands quickly became very popular, which along with the Goodman Orchestra, were among the main representatives of the swing:
the clarinetist of the band, ARTIE SHAW (1910-2004), who made the first recordings in jazz with strings,
the pianist of the ensemble, EARL HINES (1905-1983) and
the DORSEY BROTHERS BAND, by the brothers JIMMY DORSEY (1904–1957) and TOMMY DORSEY (1905–1956), with GLENN MILLER (1904–1944) as arranger, who later led a band that had become a worldwide success.
The fact that the artistic directors now represented instruments that were not previously common as lead instruments indicates that the swing style also changed the function of individual instruments in jazz.
All rhythm instruments have now been treated as full-fledged and equal solo instruments, which has made the piano far more important.
The clarinet was now frequently used as a solo instrument, and the wind section was created, which lead the wind instruments as a uniform, self-contained, homogeneous body of sound.
The electric guitar, the vibraphone, and the xylophone were added as new melodic instruments.

The double character that jazz has now assumed in the field of tension between dance music and concert performance has also become more and more evident in swing:
Swing was dance music that gained popularity in the 1930s, first in the United States, and then worldwide, music like never before.

After the war there was a renaissance of the swing style within the commercial dance music, the jazz development itself led to bebop, not only from swing, but also from the function of jazz as dance music.

Sintomas

A cat is thought to be placed in a closed box along with a radioactive atom, a Geiger counter connected to a hammer and a bottle of cyanide, as shown in the figure.
If the atom decays and the Geiger counter detects an α-particle, the hammer will crush the bottle with acid to release the toxic cyanide, and the cat dies.
As long as the box remains closed, it is uncertain whether the cat is alive or dead.
The fate of the cat is thus linked to the atomic wave function, which describes whether the atom has disintegrated or not.
A quantum mechanical wave function describing a system can be in a superposition of states.
This means that the system is in several states at the same time and that each of these states has a certain probability of being measured.

En regel som alltid gäller, oavsett vad du skriver om, är att målgrupperna och deras behov alltid ska vara i fokus. Tänk mindre på vad ert företag vill kommunicera ut, och tänk mer på vad er målgrupp vill läsa om. Tanken med content marketing är att er målgrupp ska hitta er, ni ska inte söka upp dom. När de googlar en fråga och er text dyker upp i sökresultatet och besvarar den ställda frågan – då är personen mottaglig för att läsa och då har ni lyckats med er content marketing.
När man då ska välja ett ämne att skriva om kanske du tänker att det måste vara något speciellt eller revolutionerande, som din målgrupp aldrig har hört talas om innan? Det är fel. Det är snarare tvärtom – ju enklare och tydligare budskap du förmedlar, desto lättare är det för den som läser att ta till sig informationen. Och kom ihåg – kunskap som är självklar för dig och ert företag är nödvändigtvis inte självklar för dina läsare.

Tips & trender inom ert område. Tips och trender är väldigt uppskattat av läsarna och är snabb och matnyttig information att ta till sig. Av erfarenhet är det den här typen av artiklar som brukar vara allra populärast.
Lyft fram medarbetare. Att få ett ansikte bakom varumärket förstärker era kundrelationer och ger en mer personlig bild av ert företag. Att se att det finns “riktiga människor” bakom ert erbjudande brukar vara väldigt uppskattat. Den här typen av artiklar är ofta trevliga, lite mer lättsamma och personliga.
Mässor/event. Ska ni besöka någon mässa eller något event i höst? Det är ett utmärkt ämne att skriva om, då ni kan skriva texter både inför, under och efter eventet. Bjud in era kunder att träffa er där, eller berätta höjdpunkterna för de som inte kunde komma.
Skriv rapporter från andra länder där ni har verksamhet/många kunder. Vet er målgrupp om att ni har verksamhet i flera länder, och i så fall vilka? Hur skiljer sig branschen åt där jämfört med hemma? Här finns massor att skriva om!
Kundcase. Ett extremt starkt verktyg att använda för att visa på tidigare lyckade affärer och starka relationer. Skapar förtroende, trygghet och inspiration.
Lyft fram termer/begrepp inom er bransch. Begrepp som ni använder dagligen och är självklara för er, är inte alltid lika självklara för era läsare. Dela med er av er kunskap och expertis, och visa för er målgrupp att ni är experterna.
Beskriv produkter/tjänster med fokus på kundnytta. Har ni en produkt som hjälper er målgrupp att lösa ett problem? Erbjuder ni en tjänst som underlättar er målgrupps vardag? Skriv om det, men glöm inte att ert erbjudande alltid är sekundärt, och att målgruppens behov och frågeställningar alltid ska komma i första hand. Tänk kunskap och mindre sälj.

Seeing that there are "real people" behind your offer is usually greatly appreciated. This type of article is often nice, a little more lightweight and personal.
Exhibitions/events. Are you going to attend a fair or event this fall? It is an excellent topic to write about, as you can write texts both before, during and after the event. Invite your customers to meet you there, or tell the highlights to those who couldn't come.
Write reports from other countries where you have business/a lot of customers. Does your target group know that you have operations in several countries, and if so, which ones? How does the industry differ there compared to home? Here's lots to write about!
Customer case. An extremely powerful tool to use to showcase previously successful business and strong relationships. Creates confidence, security and inspiration.
Highlight terms/concepts within your industry. Concepts that you use daily and are obvious to you may not always be as obvious to your readers. Share your knowledge and expertise with them, and show your target audience that you are the expert.
Describe products/services with a focus on customer benefits. Do you have a product that helps your target group solve a problem? Do you offer a service that facilitates the everyday life of your target group? Write about it, but don't forget that your offer is always secondary, and that the needs and issues of the target group always come first. Think knowledge and less sales.
