gran piangere. Il giovane chiese perché fossero

- Bel giovane – risposero – questo è un paese
sventurato. Un drago spaventoso con sette
teste si annida nelle acque del fiume. Ogni
giorno, a mezzogiorno in punto, esce dalla
sua tana e mangia una ragazza. Oggi tocca alla figlia del re.
- Sarò io a uccidere il drago! – esclamò il giovane.
Il re sentite quelle parole, gli disse:
- Tieni questa spada. Solo i coraggiosi sono in grado di usarla, e tu mi
sembri un giovane coraggioso.
Il giovane spronò il cavallo verso la riva del fiume.
A mezzogiorno in punto arrivò la principessa e si avvicinò alla riva. L’acqua
ribollì di schiuma e sette teste orribili e spaventose emersero dalle onde e si
lanciarono sulla principessa.
Il giovane corse incontro al terribile drago facendo ruotare la spada magica.
Si accese una lotta furibonda, il drago ruggiva, la spada sibilava facendo

وإذا به يصل إلى بلد مجهول، يغلب الحزن علي وجه كل واحد من هذا البلد، واحمرّت أعينهم من كثرة البكاء. فسأل هذا الشاب عن سبب حزنهم الشديد.
- فأجاب عليه شاب جميل قائلاً: هذا بلد بائس. يسكن فيه تنين مخيف بسبعة رؤوس يعشعش في مياه النهر. ويخرج كل يوم عند الظهر من عرينه ويأكل فتاة. واليوم الدور على ابنة الملك.
- فصاح الشاب قائلاَ: سأقتل التنين! وبعد أن سمع الملك هذه الكلمات، قال له:
- امسك هذا السيف. فالشجعان هم فقط من يمكنهم استخدام هذا السيف، ويبدو أنك شاب شجاع.
دفع الشاب حصانه نحو ضفة النهر.
فساق الشاب حصانه ناحية شاطئي النهر.
وعند الظهر وصلت الأميرة واقتربت من الشاطئ.
فبدأ الماء في الفوران، وظهرت سبعة رؤوس فظيعة ومخيفة من مياه النهر وألقوا أنفسهم على الأميرة.
فجري الشاب للقاء التنين الرهيب مدوّرًا السيف السحري.
فنشبت معركة قوية، كان يزأر فيها التنين وصال السيف، مما جعل الهواء يحدث به صفير، وسقطت الرؤوس السبعة واحدة تلو الأخرى.
ومات التنين أخيرا وتنفس الجميع الصعداء.
وتزوج الشاب من الأميرة وعاشوا في سعادة دائمة.
