English to Danish: Natural Rattan care instructions General field: Marketing Detailed field: Furniture / Household Appliances
Source text - English Natural Rattan:
Rattan, which is made from plant fibers, is both durable and flexible, making it well-suited for use as furniture. Even with these desirable qualities, rattan furniture requires special care to ensure its longevity.
Natural rattan furniture requires moderate conditions that are neither too humid nor too dry to avoid mold, mildew or brittleness. Keeping the furniture clean and storing it in a suitable environment ensure that it will last for years to come.
Maintenance:
If used on a patio or porch during warm weather, keep it out of direct sunlight to avoid fading or brittleness. In the same manner, keep it away from heat ducts or an indoor fireplace. If the air inside is dry, a humidifier helps moisten the air enough to keep the furniture from drying out.
Much like dry conditions, overly damp conditions are not good for rattan. Extremely humid environments without ample lighting lead to a mustiness on the furniture, which indicates mold or mildew. Exposure to rain or wetness over time also damages rattan, so it is best kept indoors or in a covered, moderate location when not in use.
Basic maintenance such as dusting or a gentle cleaning keeps that rattan in peak condition. Dust it gently with a feather duster when you notice dust, or vacuum it with an upholstery brush attachment for the main surfaces and a crevice tool for deep, hard-to-reach areas. A slightly damp, soft cloth wiped over the rattan gives it a general cleaning, while a bit of oil soap mixed into water, rubbed onto the furniture with a toothbrush, helps clean those stubborn spots. When you use moisture to clean rattan, dry out the piece in a well-ventilated area so it does not stay wet long.
Small specks indicate mold and mildew; wipe them away with a sponge dipped in equal portions of bleach and water, wringing the sponge out to keep it damp, but not soaking wet. A toothbrush comes in handy to remove stubborn mold or mildew. Wipe down the entire piece with a fresh damp cloth or sponge to remove any bleach residue, then allow the furniture to sit outdoors on a dry, breezy day. Repeat the cleaning process if the furniture still shows signs of mold or mildew.
Vedligeholdelse:

Bio
Hello my name is Anette and greetings from Denmark!
I am more than happy to help you with translations English-Danish, subtitles/captions, Danish voice over or proofreading. I have a long professional career in sales, marketing and event planning and I keep my deadlines and deliver top quality work - every time!
It took a long time to meet the love of my life, and it turns out he doesn't live in Copenhagen...
So after 25 years as a city girl I sold my flat in Copenhagen and waved goodbye to my sales job. Instead I moved to a big yellow woodhouse on the island of Falster (near Germany).
That was in March 2020 and now I work full time as a digital nomad while I run a small Bed & Breakfast.
I have worked as a part time freelancer with translations, voice overs and subtitles since January 2018 and full time since March 2020.
I always worked in international companies and I positively enjoy the diversity in cultures and languages - just as much as I love to travel and do international home exchanges in my spare time. Previously I have worked in the sales department of one of the biggest event venues in Copenhagen (Øksnehallen) and before that I spent a number of years in the National Museum of Denmark.
I enjoy languages, so translation and proofreading texts are some of my favorite jobs. And if I can combine them with my interests for social media, sales and marketing, films and tourism then even better!
I also have great fun "nerding" with subtitles/captions on films and tv-series, both in English-Danish and Danish-Danish. I have worked on both Netflix, Disney and the nordic Viasat productions.
