Help or teach others with what I have learned over the years
Having had a passion for languages from a young age I spent five years studying languages and translation at university before beginning my career in the translation industry.
I obtained a BA in Modern Languages and an MA in Professional Translation for European Languages from Newcastle University, UK, and I also spent a year abroad studying at the École de Traduction et Interprétation ISTI in Brussels, Belgium.
After completing my studies I spent two years working as an in-house translator in Germany before deciding to work as a freelance translator.
Through both my studies and my professional experience, I have a wealth of experience in translating a variety of technical texts, ranging from user manuals for machinery to marketing documents for computer software, and I also enjoy translating texts about energy and the environment as this is a subject that I am particularly passionate about.
