In this method, the target location of the file can be directly accessed. It is given that the
pointer is at location “4”, so if the method needs to read location “3”, then the pointer directly
moves before the location to access the data directly.
This process is very beneficial when compared to sequential access method because the exact
location of data is directly accessed.
Command to access the data using direct access method:
The command “read n” reads the number of blocks and then it uses the command “position to
n” moves the pointer to the particular position and reads the data from the position.
