Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kentang (Solanum tuberosum L.) Kultivar Atlantik dengan penggunaan zat pengatur tumbuh paclobutrazol pada beberapa kondisi kandungan air media tanam dalam meningkatkan produksi kentang di dataran medium. Percobaan dilaksanakan pada bulan April sampai Agustus 2015 Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Padjadjaran, Kecamatan Jatinangor, Kabupaten Sumedang, dengan ketinggian tempat ±794 m dpl. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri dari 8 perlakuan dengan tiga ulangan. Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah Zat Pengatur Tumbuh Paclobutrazol dengan dosis 50 ppm dan 100 ppm yang dikombinasikan dengan berbagai tingkat Kadar Air Tanah dari Kapasitas Lapang (KL) dengan Kadar Air 100 % KL, 90 % KL, 80 % KL, dan 70 % KL. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan pemberian Paclobutraol pada berbagai tingkat kadar air tanah menunjukkan perbedaan yang nyata dari beberapa komponen pertumbuhan dan hasil. Kombinasi perlakuan paclobutrazol 50 ppm pada kondisi 100% kapasitas lapang menunjukkan hasil ubi yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan perlakuan lainnya. Kombinasi perlakuan ini dapat menjadi rekomendasi untuk meningkatkan hasil produksi kentang atlantik di dataran medium.

This study aims to investigate the response of the growth and the yield of potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) cultivars Atlantic with the use of growth regulators paclobutrazol on several conditions of the water content in the growing media increases the production of potato in medium-altitude areas.
The experiment was conducted from April to August 2015 at the Experimental Station, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Padjadjaran, Jatinangor District, Sumedang, with an altitude of ± 794 m above sea level. The design used was a randomized block design (RBD) consisting of 8 treatments with three replications.
The treatments given were Growing Regulatory Substances of Paclobutrazol with two doses of 50 ppm and 100 ppm, combined with varying levels of Soil Water Content Field Capacity (FC) with Water Content of 100% FC, 90% FC, 80% FC and 70% FC. The results showed that treatment of Paclobutrazol provision at different levels of soil moisture showed significant differences from multiple components of growth and yields.
The combined treatment of 50 ppm of Paclobutrazol at 100% of Field Capacity condition shows the results of the tubers growth higher than other treatments. The combination of these treatments can be a recommendation to increase the yields of Atlantic potato production in the medium-altitude areas.
