About me:
When I was young I wanted to understand what was written in video games dialogues, so I started to study. I never stop since that time and this changed my life. I enrolled in a language and translation under-graduation in one of the best Universities of Brazil (Universidade Federal do Ceará), I knew from my youth that I wanted to work with languages.
Games were not just part of my past, they are part of my present. I made some games as an artist, writer, and translator in game jams in Brazil, which gave me knowledge of gaming terminology and localization.
At university, I studied literature as part of my course, and that was great, for I am also a bookworm since my childhood. Science fiction novels have a special place for me, but I
must say that horror and fantasy are also my style bedtime stories.
I worked for some time as a school teacher, in contact with basic English from the Primary up to Advanced English from High School and then with English Culture at University.
During my education, I worked as a volunteer teacher of Portuguese as a Foreign Language and now I am part of a translation program that aims to translate and proofread academic papers and articles in order to publish more Brazilian researches in foreign countries.
I subtitle videos very frequently, but also work really hard in textual translation. My academic background gave me the knowledge and got me in touch with much different content while translating, from philosophy to medicine, so I can manage a lot of themes.
