I am a native English speaker living in Belgium. With a BA in Modern languages and Sociology and a MA in sociolinguistics, I have always been self-employed, starting out in
the NGO sector with organisations such as Oxfam, Quaker Council for European
Affairs and other Church associations. This led into work in publishing for
newspaper publishers and ultimately trade show publishing, from where I then
moved into more specific communications and publishing director posts and ultimately to
communications consultancy.
A part of my tasks in the communication consultancy has always been copy-writing, editing and translating, always seeking to translate the needs and goals of my clients to realisation of their communications strategy.
A mother of three, I am a keen hockey player and am involved not only with our hockey club but also in an NGO working with and supporting children with renal illness - a major part of this activity is taking 40 sick children on holiday once per year.
