My name is Maria and I am native Greek. I have been an English language teacher for 20 years.
I started studying English at the age of seven and at seventeen I got my Proficiency Certificate in English (CPE-British Council).
At nineteen I started teaching English both to adults and children.
At the age of twenty I went to the UK to study Journalism but due to personal reasons I left. I stayed in UK (Leeds) for 7 months and during that period I practiced my English Language skills a lot.
I have never stopped teaching. I have always combined my teaching job with all other jobs I have done because I love English.
I have 5 years of experience as a Technical Secretary for a Public Constructions Company, where I had constant communication with Company Managers in foreign countries, dealing with imports and banking transactions. During that time, I also translated various documents (ENG-GR,GR-ENG).
The last 5 years I have been a professional translator in Greece.
A year ago I translated-transcribed a documentary which finally got many awards and nominees (see portfolio).
During my school years I also studied French at the French Academy. Moreover, The last three months I have been studying Spanish.
I was the owner of an advertising company for 6 years (MAMA Business Solutions). At that time my work consisted in making Business Presentations (Powerpoint-Flash) both in Greek and English, video editing, photo editing, typing, writing Business Articles.
