Hello, I'm and English-Indonesian-Dutch translator based in
Jakarta Indonesia.
I started in the English-Indonesia translating field since 2002
specializing in movie subtitles for several TV stations in
Indonesia. It was a part time work and I learned a lot, gained
experience in movie subtitling.
After that, I begin translating work for materials and media
articles such as : music articles, movies and lifestyle. I enjoy
translating, proofreading and editing materials regarding to
music, movies, travel and lifestyle because it matches my
interest.During this period I was also asked to help translate
documents about health and medicines frequently.
In 2008 I begin working at a regular office and helped translated
several documents for my office. Thus my experince in translating
office & business documents begin in 2008, where I also
translated marketing and advertorial materials.
In 2009, I worked for Food & Beverage media company and begin
translating and writing articles regarding the food industry,
transcribing English-Indonesian interviews and editing the
articles. I gained insight and knowledge about the food industry,
also enjoyed writing articles about the food business.
Until today, the scope of English-Indonesian translating material
that I have done also include : book translation (self help
book), product knowledge, food & beverages, movie script, game,
business letters, contracts.
Besides English-Indonesian I also do Dutch-English and Dutch-
Indonesian translation for Dutch East Indies documents (VOC)
consisted of :
-certificates
-personal letters
-antique newspaper article
-antique booklet articles, etc
I'm constantly learning to improve and update myself in this
field.
