I graduated from Cambridge University in 2000 with a starred First Class BA Honours degree in Modern Languages (Russian and Polish) which included translation papers as well as literature, philosophy, Modern Critical Theory (in French) and history components. Since then I have worked occasionally as translator for various organisations (eg. Refugee Council, Keston Institute) while mainly pursuing a career as a professional classical musician. In 2012 I moved to the Netherlands. In 2017 I gained my NT2( niveau II) certificate, and subsequently completed courses to C1 level and beyond at the Volksuniversiteit. I have recently translated publicity and promotional material for fellow classical musicians (Dutch-English) and can offer a special expertise in this area. |
