三天后，第一个年轻人回来了，他笑生双靥，衣履光鲜："酋长，我到达山顶了，我看繁花夹道，流泉淙淙，鸟鸣嘤嘤，那地方真不坏啊！"
老酋长笑笑说："孩子，那条路我当年也走过，你说的鸟语花香的地方不是山顶，而是山麓。你回去吧！"
一周后，第二个年轻人回来了，他神情疲倦，满脸风霜："酋长，我到达山顶了。我看到高大肃穆的松树林，我看到秃鹰盘旋，那是个好地方！"
"可惜啊！孩子，那不是山顶！那是山腰，不过也难为你了。你回去吧！"
一个月过去了，大家都开始为第三位年轻人的安危担心，他却一步一蹭，衣不蔽体地回来了。他发枯唇燥，只剩下清炯的眼神："酋长，我终于到达山顶。但是，我该怎么说呢？那里只有高风悲旋，蓝天四垂。"
"你难道在那里一无所见吗？难道连蝴蝶也没有一只吗？"
"是的，酋长，高处一无所有。你所能看到的，只有你自己，只有个人被放在天地间的渺小感，只有想起千古英雄的悲激心情。"
"孩子，你到的是真的山顶。按照我们的传统，天意要立你做新酋长，祝福你。"
真英雄何所遇？

Translation - English A long time ago, in a far, far away land, an old tribal leader was dying. He gathered together the three most outstanding young men from his village and told them: "My time to leave has come, but I need you to do one final thing. You three are healthy, strong, intelligent kids. Climb the big mountain we’ve always revered as sacred. Try your absolute best to ascend to the highest, steepest point. Then, come back to tell me what you saw and heard."
Three days later, the first young man returned. Smiling cheek to cheek with his clothes bright and neat, "Chief, I’ve been to the mountaintop. I saw flowers blooming along the path, a flowing spring, and birds singing. That's a really neat place!"
Laughing, the Chief replies: "My child, I’ve taken that route before myself. The place you're talking about with fragrant flowers and chirping birds isn't the top; it's only the foot of the mountain. Go back!"
One week later, the second young man returns. Utterly exhausted with a weathered look on his face, "Chief, I reached the mountaintop. I saw a forest of tall, solemn pine trees. What a great place!"
"Such a pity! Child, that isn't the top! Although only half-way up, it was still difficult for you. Go back!"
A month later, everyone began worrying about the third young man’s safety, who practically dragged himself back, adorning only rags, one step at a time. With his hair and lips all dried out and a bright expression remaining solely in his eyes, "Chief, I finally reached the top. But, how'd I describe it? I just saw high mountains, swirling winds, and endless blue skies."
"You mean…you couldn’t see anything else? Not even a single butterfly?"
"That’s right, Chief. At the highest elevation, there wasn’t anything at all. All you could see was yourself! I felt my own insignificance placed between Heaven and Earth, and only recalled emotional tales of ancient heroes."
"My child, you really did reach the top! According to our tradition, the Will of Heaven mandates that you become the tribe’s new leader. May you be blessed with good fortune!"
What does a true hero discover?
He discovers wounds all over his body, a long, lonely road, and a distinct feeling of his own personal insignificance.

Translation - English During Mangzhong, summer deepens, the heat intensifies, green plums ripen, bayberries turn red, and an orchestra of croaking frogs can be heard. This beautiful scroll, which depicts ancient China’s period of Mangzhong, has been adorned with ink by poets of successive past dynasties. Among their ranks, one poet, who never at all concealed his admiration, actually had a unique affinity for Mangzhong, and even candidly made it known to his successors. Of the numerous poems he wrote about Mangzhong, later generations are mostly acquainted with, "A Poem Inspired in Mangzhong after Many Straight Days of Rain." It merely takes reading the title to recognize that, on rainy Mangzhong days, he lived carefree and unattached. Though old and sickly, he remained unwilling to surrender his poetic sensibilities even during trivial times. He was the Southern Song Dynasty poet Lu You.

Translation - English First on November 18, and then on December 23, 2012, more than 30 people from the Shanghai Interior Decoration Industry Association visited the Mazu Mingli Flagship Exhibition Hall for an educational tour.
The Shanghai Interior Decoration Industry Association conducts regular training of its students. This training session, the selected location for which was the high-end furniture brand Mazu Mingli Flagship Exhibition, aimed to increase the connections and cooperation incentives between the association and enterprises. It allowed students to learn more about the excellent products, while enabling enterprises to also more conveniently meet the demands of designers and end-users.
During the training, Li Xinglong, director of the association’s office and new publicity department, expressed his sincere gratitude for Mazu Mingli’s support and services at the venue. "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare" (Abridged) was created by three actors from the Reduced Shakespeare Company more than 20 years ago. It is London’s longest-running comedy, having been performed at the Criterion Theatre for 9 consecutive years, and has appeared at major theater festivals and art festivals around the world for nearly two decades.
This performance is the first Chinese version to be officially authorized and will be acted out by Macau's Godot Art Association. In addition to retaining the original essence, they will blend in local elements to recreate the intimate language of contemporary life and emphasize interaction as well as a feeling of co-creation with the audience, allowing everyone to get close to Shakespeare in completely new ways and have a dialogue with his work.

作为泉州地区至今保存完好的圆形土楼——辉斗楼就是其中比较有代表性的一座。辉斗楼坐落在泉州安溪的龙涓乡宝都村，建于清道光甲申年，即1824年。历经近两百年的风雨，土楼依旧挺拔屹立。
辉斗楼建在900多米高的“和尚顶”山腰部，左右矮山夹峙，楼前山谷视野开阔，可见当时建造者在建楼选址和设计上都花费了大量的心血。
Translation - English Fujian Tulou, also known as “Hakka Tulou” since they were mostly built by Hakka people in Fujian Province, are a bright jewel of Eastern civilization. Renowned for their long history, great variety, grand scale, structural ingenuity, functional completeness, and rich connotations, these dwellings are of high historical, artistic and scientific value, and have been acclaimed as “Oriental ancient castles” and “miracles of world architecture.” They embody the wisdom, exquisite design, and skillful craftsmanship of the Han Chinese ethnic group, but also exemplify the excellent construction technologies and artistic accomplishments of the ancient Chinese people.
Of the well-preserved circular earth buildings in the area of Qianzhou, the Huidou Building is a model of its kind. This building is located in Baodu Village, Longjuan Township, Quanzhou City, and was constructed during the Qing Dynasty in 1824, the Jia-Shen Year of Daoguang's reign. After enduring nearly two hundred years of wind and rain, it still stands erect even to this day.
The Huidou Building was built halfway up the Heshangding Mountain, at a height of over 900 meters. Surrounded by low hills on both sides, there are open views of the valley below. The builders obviously devoted a tremendous amount of time and effort to site selection and structural design.

Yang: “We looked at several places, checked out the Feng Shui, and finally selected this site here. The building is considered a “beehive,” so there’s no water well in the courtyard. From a geographical Feng Shui perspective, beehive and birdsnest-like houses may not have water or fires, hence this courtyard has no kitchen.”

If they relay their experiences to the people back in their own country, it would be misleading for anyone who wants a comprehensive understanding of American life. For instance, I was very surprised by people's religious piety when I returned to the Midwest, but these types of sentiments are rarely witnessed in America's coastal areas.

Translation - English The Qingdao Martial Arts Institute (青岛国术馆; aka. Qingdao Guoshu Institute), founded on September 1, 1929, was one of the premier martial arts institutes established in a provincial city in China. Qingdao was then a “special city” (akin to directly administered municipalities under the Central Government today); it also had superior martial arts resources, concentrated a large number of martial arts experts together, and thus became the standout martial arts academy of every province and city.
The term “Guoshu” (国术; lit: “national skills”) [a synonym for “martial arts” used in the institute’s name as adopted by the Republic of China’s ruling Kuomintang government] derives from the Nanjing Central Guoshu Research Association founded in March 1928, which was later renamed the Central Guoshu Institute in June of that year. This institute began developing Shaolin and Wudang martial arts, with the Shaolin school consisting mainly of Shaolin Boxing (少林拳), Cha Boxing (查拳), Tantui (弹腿), Baji Boxing (八极拳), Pigua Boxing (劈挂拳), etc., headed by Wang Ziping (王子平, 1880-1973), and the Wudang school comprised mainly of Taiji Boxing (太极拳), Xingyi Boxing (形意拳), Baguazhang (八卦掌), and so on, headed by Gao Zhendong (高振东, 1879–1960). Soon after its establishment, the Nationalist government [under Chiang Kai-shek] immediately ordered administrative departments at all levels to establish corresponding academies. Hence in the early 1930s, each province and city followed closely along by setting up local martial arts institutes.
The martial arts of Qingdao can be traced back to the late Yuan (1271–1368) and early Ming (1368–1644) dynasties, when famous Daoist masters and great martial arts teachers, such as Zhang Sanfeng (张三丰; credited with inventing Taiji Boxing), Qiu Chuji (丘处机; founder of the Dragon Gate sect of Daoism), and others “spread the Dao” on Laoshan (崂山; aka. Mt. Lao), trained in martial arts, and taught Laoshan Daoist priests and mountain residents boxing methods and sword techniques, thereby enabling Qingdao’s martial arts culture to gradually flourish.

Translation - English Blockchain has become one of the hottest topics in science and technology circles over recent years, whereas Bitcoin, a derivative of blockchain technology, is enthusiastically pursued by the business community and investors.
So, how does it work? Imagine that a blockchain is a general ledger book, each block is a page within the book, and when a node, which is actually a computer, calculates a new page in the blockchain system, each node in the system receives the page and creates a chain in chronological order. Each node not only verifies the existence and authenticity of the page, the system ensures that each node has the latest, identical book; and, since everyone's book is the same, the data inside the book cannot be easily tampered with or forged. Based on each set interval, the system uses cryptography to encrypt the data as well.
In addition, blockchain could even change the ways in which media is operated and news gets produced. Due to its decentralized features, the production of news doesn’t have to bear restrictions from any central agency, shortening the distance between authors and readers. It also utilizes encrypted electronic currency, establishes a reward mechanism, encourages quality news content and creators, and makes the media ecology more robust through the development of independent news and the cultivation of citizen journalists.
In the United States, Civil and Steelmi, two newly launched platforms, are attempting to set up this type of news editing system. In Greater China, Matters, developed by former Hong Kong media editor Zhang Jieping, is also attempting to use blockchain as its underlying technology in order to create a similar content platform.

China's official media reported Friday that Li Yuanchao passed a message to Kim Jong-un from Chinese President Xi Jinping, which said: “China maintains support for a nuclear weapons-free Korean Peninsula, and insists on solving relevant issues through dialogue and consultation.” Sino-North Korean bilateral relations soon fizzled out after North Korea carried out nuclear tests, according to the report. Li Yuanchao’s visit is regarded as a positive gesture to actively restore Sino-Korean relations.
