Source text - Portuguese Numa época em que observamos um afastar progressivo entre o cidadão comum e o universo artístico, a Arte Pública tem-se assumido como uma área de enorme destaque, quer do ponto de vista cultural, quer social, ou mesmo político. De particular relevância para o Centro de Investigação em Ciência e Tecnologia das Artes, que organizou o simpósio que deu origem a este volume, é a abordagem multidisciplinar em ponto de vista que o estudo da Arte Pública possibilita. Os nossos investigadores, em colaboração com uma comunidade emergente, têm dado contributos sobre perspectivas técnicas, sociológicas, estéticas, interactivas e de preservação; e interessa-nos cada vez mais colaborar quer na criação quer na análise de obras desta esfera.
Translation - English In an era in which we have witnessed a growing gulf between the average citizen and the artistic universe, Public Art has taken on enormous importance whether from a cultural, social or even political viewpoint. Of particular relevance to the Research Center for Science and Technology of the Arts, which organised the symposium that gave birth to this volume, is the multidisciplinary approach as regards the study of Public Art. Our researchers, in collaboration with an emerging community, have contributed their own perspectives on techniques, sociology, aesthetics, interactivity and conservation; and we are ever more interested in collaborating either in the creation or in the analysis of works of this nature.

I am an experienced translator and copywriter, fully capable
of managing my own time and goal commitments and juggling priorities so as to
be as efficient and productive as possible. I bring great attention to detail
and a focus on quality to my work, never shirk responsibility, and coordinate
well with my colleagues.
I am a native English speaker and am fluent in Portuguese and
Spanish. In my position at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya I became
adept with the translation tool DejaVu, and since becoming a freelancer I have
switched to using SDL Trados.
As a Research Editor at Dow Jones, I gained experience of
working autonomously and within a team to meet deadlines and objectives.
When I held the role of Quality Analyst at Dow Jones I was
responsible for the accuracy of stock exchange data published in one of the most
influential financial sector newspapers in the world, the Wall Street Journal.
