Joint stock companies play an important role and have a considerable impact at the national and, sometimes, international levels (when they take the form of multinational companies). Bearing this role in mind, national legislators consequently direct incomparable attention towards the related laws in terms of their comparative position. So, they put in place legal provisions which provide a framework to regulate the activity of a company and monitor its performance, with the aim of ensuring the soundness of its activities, beginning with its establishment and continuing throughout the lifetime of the company until its expiration. They do so with the intention of ensuring the company's economic and social feasibility, and of maintaining the balance of the national economy and ensuring the protection of public savings.

Bio

Arabic and French to English translator with six years' experience translating academic papers related to law and other social sciences, as well as official documents including CVs, birth/death certificates, letters and exam transcripts. Clients have included Translated.com and Jordanian, Emirati and Omani academics.

I have also translated Arabic media and social media content for a job at an online news website. As someone who has worked as a journalist, I naturally write English to the highest standard.

I hold an undergraduate degree in Arabic, French and Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Cambridge, and lived, worked and studied in Jordan for over three years.
