The best thing about my translation is that i actually know the topics firsthand.
I work in the medical and technology sectors (I know what REALLY are things such as a sliding clamp, a MOSFET, an operating system watchdog timer, a Single Instruction Multiple Data command , DNA methylation or Purkinje fibers. Their purpose, their inner workings, what happens when they break or work erroneously ).
My language knowledge, experience and working years on the fields i want to translate are extremely big.
I mainly buy English medical and technical books, despite that my mother language is Greek, because i find the translation annoying and tiresome.
So, if you think you have serious scientists as clients, and want the translation to be made by scientists for scientists, give it a try.
In my profile there is not much (if any) marketing stuff, and it is not done not by accident. I would rather prefer quality work over budget spent on fancy wrapping paper myself (as most scientists would typically do, i inform you).
PS: No peanuts for translators please. Respect the subjects and the people invested in them.Thank you. |
