العديد من الحيوانات التي توجد في المأوى هي هناك بسبب أن أصحابها لم يدركوا كم الوقت اللازم للعناية بها، فإن كنت مشغولا في العمل جدا، فقد ترغب في إعادة التفكير في قرار التبني، ضع في إعتبارك الضرورات الآتية، التي تأخذ كل منها وقتا:

الصحبة، فكل الحيوانات تحتاج إلى الحب و الإنتباه، خاصة عندما تسكن في بيت جديد، و تصاب القطط التي تترك بشكل دائم بمفردها في المنزل بمشاكل سلوكية.

التمرين، مثل الإنسان تماما، فالحيوانات تحتاج إلى التمرين لتظل صحيحة و سعيدة.

النظافة، و قد يأخذ هذا كمية غير قليلة من الوقت، خاصة إن كان القط أو الكلب بشعر طويل، ستحتاج الكلاب لحموم منتظم.

تدريب الجرو على التبرز في المكان الصحيح.

التدريب على الطاعة الأساسية، فالتدريب قد ينهي الكثير من المشاكل و يمنع الكثير منها من الحدوث.
Translation - English
A number of animals found in the shelter are there because their owners didn’t realize how much time was necessary to care for them, so if you are very busy with work, then you might want to rethink the decision to adopt. Put the following necessities into your consideration, all of which take time:

Companionship: all animals need love and attention, especially when they are living in a new home. Cats that are constantly left in the house by themselves get behavioral problems.

Exercise: quite like humans, animals need exercise to stay healthy and happy.

Cleanliness: this might take no small amount of time, especially if the cat or dog has long hair. Dogs will need regular bathing.

Training puppies to poop in the right place.

Training for basic obedience: the training might end a lot of problems and prevent a lot of them from happening.
