Al vele jaren wordt er in Nederland onder de vierspanrijders flink gestreden om een startbewijs voor het prestigieuze evenement in Aken. Ieder jaar worden de beste drie Nederlandse menners afgevaardigd en zij weten steeds sterke prestaties neer te zetten, zowel individueel als met het team. Zoals u weet, is het Nederlandse vierspanteam sinds 2008 onafgebroken winnaar van de landenwedstrijd in Aken.
Nederland is dit jaar partnerland van het door mij zeer gewaardeerde CHIO Aken. Wij hebben aantal jonge, talentvolle menners in Nederland, die niet onderdoen voor de top drie. Ik zou heel graag één van hen de kans willen geven om dit jaar, in het kader van Nederland partnerland, als vierde rijder te laten starten.
Ik stel het zeer op prijs indien u aan dit verzoek kunt voldoen.

Translation - English Dear Mr. Frank Kemperman,
For many years now, the Dutch four-in-hand drivers have striven for a chance to compete at your prestigious event in Aachen. Every year the Netherlands sends its best three drivers who have consecutively put forward strong presentations, both individually and with the team. As you are well aware, the Netherlands four-in-hand team has stood on top of the Nations Cup podium since 2008.
The Netherlands is this year a partnering country with CHIO Aachen, a competition near and dear to my heart. We have a number of young, talented drivers in our country, drivers no less inferior than our top three. I would very much like to give one of them the chance to start this year as our countries fourth driver, working together in the spirit of this partnership.
I would like to thank you in advance and extend my greatest appreciation for your consideration of my proposal.
