Source text - German Das monumentalste Werk der Neckarkanalisation ist die Doppelschleuse bei Mannheim. Statt der sonst üblichen Drehtore sind hier Hubtore verwendet worden, die beim Untertor und Obertor je drei Türme erforderten. Die oberen Türme sind 17 m, die unteren Türme 21 m hoch, dazu kommt bei den unteren Türmen noch die Stauhöhe von 10 m. Die Maschinen stehen jeweils im obersten Geschoß. Zur Aufnahme der Antriebswellen wurden die Türme mit geschlossenen eisernen Stegen verbunden. Auf der Oberseite des unteren Mittelturmes ist der „Kommandostand" ausgekragt, in welchem die gesamte Schaltung vereinigt ist.
Translation - Italian L’opera più monumentale della canalizzazione del Neckar è la doppia chiusa presso Mannheim. Invece delle porte girevoli altrimenti consuete vengono adoperate qui delle porte sollevabili, che presso la porta a valle e quella a monte esigono ciascuna tre torri. Le torri superiori sono alte 17 m, quelle inferiori 21 m, a ciò si aggiunge ancora, presso le torri inferiori, il livello di ritenuta di 10 m. I macchinari stanno sempre nel piano più alto. Per l’inserimento degli alberi a motore le torri sono state collegate con dei pontili chiusi in ferro. Sulla parte più alta della torre centrale inferiore il “posto di comando”, nel quale è unito il circuito comune, è sporto.

Sein Unternehmen wirbt damit - anders als viele Konkurrenten -, die Privatsphäre zu schützen. Im Gespräch erzählt der Franzose, warum er trotz der Übermacht der Alphabet-Tochter Chancen auf Erfolg sieht, warum seine Firma auf höhere Gewinne verzichtet und warum der deutsche Humor seine Arbeit erschwert.
