Studied business and office in upper secondary school for 3 years, with economics, law and all kinds of officework. Have now studied 2 years healthcare, and are starting 3rd year pharmaceutical technician.
I have spoken english since childhood due to a lot of travelling with my parents, then had english as the sole spoken language at home from age 16 to 19 due to my stepmother from Central America moving to Norway. I have also translated a lot of privat letters over the years from english to norwegian and vice versa, to help privat persons interested in genealogy. Especially norwegian-americans trying to find their norwegian ancestors.
With swedish I have lived on the swedish border in south-east Norway for about 14 years, speaking more swedish than norwegian. My mother also lived in Sweden for about 15 years.
With danish I have read a lot of danish, who are almost similar to norwegian. I also have a lot of danish family.
My written norwegian is correct and with good knowledge of the many facets of the language. I'm familiar with medical language as an experienced rhematology-patient of 3 decades and a thyroid cancer-patient of the last 4 years. I have also worked for about 5 years as a carer for a mentally disabled person with severe food allergies, and had the responibility to make all of his diet-food correctly. |
