I have been working in IT and business since 1985, so as can be deduced, I am at least an experienced person. In 2010, I felt I needed a change, so I started to search into my passions until I decided to develop a new career in translation from 2015 on, attending courses (including University Degree in Translation) and taking freelancers and volunteering jobs. What triggered this decision was a dubbing course I took in 2014. I have always been passionate about languages and media, and I saw in translation an opportunity to fulfill both. I have been working with translation since then. Most of the time is not about media, of course, but I have been quite satisfied with it anyway. I translated daily life things: papers, presentations, and other business materials for companies or people. Some were translations of abstracts, papers, and thesis in engineering and project management that were published. I did some volunteering jobs as a subtitler for TED. And, for fun, I translated a fan fiction (almost 140,000 words) of a series I am a fan (pun intended). As a side effect of my previous job as an IT project manager, I am very committed to the dates I concur with my clients, and I am particular to deliver it with the utmost quality. I also have very good listening skills, and I am skilled with IT-tools, WEB, and digital things and means in general.
