Translation - English Let's be conscious of our energy consumption for sustainable energy into the future
These days, we cannot deny that electricity is both essential and influential in our daily lives. Electricity connects all lives. From the moment we wake up to the moment we tuck ourselves into bed, we harness the many uses of electricity in our daily activities. Furthermore “electricity” is a key factor in the development of the economy. A“power plant” is a source of electrical power used in buildings and residences in communities. Presently, electricity we use is generated from massive generators within the power plants. In general, we differentiate power plants by the types of energy sources, for example combined heat and power plants, gas turbine power plants, hydroelectric power plants, wind power plants, and biomass-fueled power plants. Nowadays, campaigns against wasteful energy consumption are constantly raised all the over the world. Thus from now on everybody should understand and be well informed about energy types and sources in order to have awareness on how to use electricity power efficiently in a sustainable manner.
Combined Heat and Power Plant
Two energies combined to become one. A combined heat and power plant is a type of plant that uses natural gas as a fuel to generate electricity by bringing a gas turbine and steam turbine to work together. The process starts from burning natural gas to generate heated gas in order to move the turbine to generate electricity. From then the remaining heated gas from the gas turbine is routed to a boiler so that water is turned to high pressure steam and drive the steam turbine to rotate and generate additional electricity. Most power plants owned by the Glow Group in Map Ta Phut area are this type of power plants.
Gas Turbine Power Plant
Converting energy into electricity with an ultimate efficiency. Gas turbine power plant operates using gas turbine as a power generator which attains energy from a combustion of mixture between natural gas or diesel fuel and compressed air from an air compressor in the combustion chamber, which results in heated gas where pressure and high temperature rotate the turbine and turbine shaft, which in turn drive the power generator to generate induction and eventually electrical current.

I am a native Thai speaker, who previously worked in an IT/Finance related multinational corporation as a client support analyst for almost 10 years. Prior to that, before I came back to Thailand, I worked as a loan processing specialist for four years, and lived in the USA for 11 years.
I started my translation career at my previous IT job when the management team looked for someone to translate the company's software brochures/pamphlets, from English to Thai, as they were not satisfied with the outsourced translation. I discovered that I enjoyed the process no matter how challenging it can be.
For me translation is not just simply translation of words or sentences, it also involves extensive researching and understanding and conveying the writer's POV and mood. It is both artistic and scientific.
I am passionate and committed to establish my career in Translation and meet and exceed the expectation from clients. Currently, I work as a freelance translator, mostly translate materials from Thai to English, and I am attending the Intensive Thai-English Business Translation course from The Translator and Interpreter Association of Thailand.
