Source text - Dutch Ellen Davidzon ( Amsterdam 1971) maakt deel uit van een nieuwe generatie figuratieve, impressionistische schilders. Haar stijl is los en haar palet fris en kleurrijk. Davidzon schildert nat-in-nat. Hierdoor blijft de snelheid, "het losse", zichtbaar in haar werk.
Belangrijke onderwerpen van het werk van Davidzon zijn Amsterdam en de Nederlandse kust. Veel van haar werk is inmiddels opgenomen in particuliere collecties.
Translation - English Ellen Davidzon (Amsterdam, 1971-) forms part of a new generation of figurative-impressionist painters. Davidzon paints in a loose and fluid manner with a palette both fresh and rich in colour. She paints using a ‘wet on wet’ method, which complements her expressive brushstrokes to create that sense of fleeting motion and freedom in her work. Important themes for Davidzon are Amsterdam and the Dutch coast; many of her works are included in private collections.
