"Мы строго руководствуемся соглашениями по Черноморскому флоту, в том числе содержащими и положение о возможности продления сроков пребывания флота на период после 2017 года, - сказал он на пресс-конференции в Москве. - В соответствующий момент мы будем готовы предложить украинской стороне обсудить условия такого дальнейшего пребывания. Разумеется конкретное обсуждение этих вопросов предстоит на более позднем этапе ближе к 2017 году и с тем правительством Украины, которое на тот момент будет работать".
По мнению Лаврова, "на данном этапе самым главным является добросовестное выполнение с обеих сторон имеющихся соглашений по базированию флота".
Translation - English Russia intends to propose to Ukraine an extension of the Black Sea Fleet's stay in the Crimea past 2017, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov reports.
"We are following the agreements on the Black Sea Fleet to the letter, including those that contain provisions on the possibility of extending the fleet's stay into the period after 2017," he said in a press conference in Moscow. "We are ready to propose to the Ukrainians, at the appropriate moment, discussing the conditions for a further stay. Of course, a concrete discussion of these questions lie ahead at a later stage, closer to 2017, with the government of Ukraine that will be operating at that time."
In Lavrov's opinion, "at this stage the most important thing is the conscientious fulfillment of the present fleet-basing agreements by both sides."
