Øst møder vest i blomsterdesigner Nicolai Bergmanns stilfulde Tokyo-butik
Nicolai Bergmann er en superstar inden for blomsterdesign. Med syv butikker og 60 ansatte fordelt ud over Japan er Nicolai Bergmann Flowers and Design kendt som stedet, hvor de mest unikke blomsterkreationer skabes.
Siden han rejste fra København til Tokyo i 1998, har Nicolai Bergmann tiltrukket sig enorm opmærksomhed og opnået kultstatus for sine smukke blomsterdesign, som på fornemste vis forener dansk og japansk æstetik.
Mødet mellem Østens og Vestens designprincipper kommer utvivlsomt klarest til udtryk i Bergmanns Minami-Aoyama flagship store. Her bliver ekstraordinære blomster i alle afskygninger til elegante og overraskende design, som præsenteres i skæret fra forskellige Louis Poulsen lamper.
Klassiske Louis Poulsen lamper sætter blidt spotlight på Bergmanns enestående design i hele butikken – lige fra den farverige LC SHUTTERS i optrykt aluminium, designet af Louise Campbell, til den enkle TOLDBOD 120 pendel og den klassiske PH 50.
"Butikken er virkelig et mix af japansk og dansk minimalisme," siger Bergmann om den 450 kvadratmeter store butik, som også byder på en skandinavisk inspireret café, en blomsterskole og et showroom til udstillinger og events. "Med 5,5 meter til loftet har vi et smukt lysindfald, og Louis Poulsen produkterne afgiver denne varme, blide glød, som fremhæver, men på ingen måde overskygger, blomsternes naturlige skønhed."
Bergmann forklarer, at hans blomsterdekorationer i høj grad er inspireret af skandinavisk minimalisme og enkelt formsprog, men at han også lader sig inspirere af Østen med hensyn til farvekombinationer og sammensætningen af forskellige slags blomster.
"Dansk og japansk design har utrolig mange lighedstegn, når vi taler minimalisme og stil, og de harmonerer fantastisk sammen, hvilket jeg synes kommer klart til udtryk her i butikken, når man kan bruge en designgenstand til at fremhæve noget så sart som blomster," siger Bergmann.

Classic Louis Poulsen lamps cast their soft spotlight on Bergmann´s unique designs throughout the store - from designer Louise Campbell´s vibrant LC SHUTTERS in formed aluminium to the simple TOLBOD 120 pendant lamp and the classic PH 50.
“This boutique represents a true blend of Japanese and Danish minimalism,” says Bergmann of the 450 sq.metre store which also offers clients a Scandinavian-inspired café, a flower school and a showroom for exhibitions and events. “Our 5.5 metres to the ceiling gives us lovely natural light while the Louis Poulsen products add a soft,warm glow that highlights, but in no way overshadows, the natural beauty of the flowers.
Bergmann goes on to explain that while his floral arrangements are largely inspired by Scandinavian minimalism and simple lines, he often also draws inspiration for the colour combinations and composition of the wide variety of flowers from the East.
“Danish and Japanese design have a surprising amount in common when we talk in terms of minimalism and style and they harmonize extremely well together, and I think this is expressed well here in the store when we are able to use a designer object to bring out the best in something as delicate as flowers,” says Bergmann.

Jeg er en dansk, smilende og udadvendt pige, der søger job i forbindelse med min tilflytning til London. Efter 3 år på IBC (International Business School) har jeg valgt at tage et sabbatår for at opleve verden, samt forbedre mine sprogkompetencer, hvorfor jeg søger job i London. Jeg er netop hjemvendt fra en måneds backpacking i USA, hvor jeg fik mere blod på tanden efter, at lære det engelske sprog fuldt ud.
Mine tidligere jobs har givet mig erfaring hvad angår salg, service og kommunikation. Jeg har de sidste 6 år arbejdet i børnetøjforretningen AMOC i Fredericia. Butikken er lokal og hyggelig, hvorfor nærvær og en personlig involvering i høj grad har præget hverdagen. I de 6 år jeg har arbejdet i butikken, har jeg været åben/lukke-ansvarlig, samt varetaget de daglige gøremål i butikken.
Ved siden af jobbet i AMOC har jeg det sidste år også arbejdet på Restaurant Fænøsund i Middelfart og Hotel- og Konference Centeret Trinity i Fredericia, hvor jeg fungerer som tjener ved ála carte og selskaber. Endvidere har jeg job som livredder i den lokale svømmeklub.

I am contacting you as I will shortly be moving to London and am looking for an interesting opportunity to further develop my business and language skills. I am Danish, outgoing, ready with a smile and have solid business experience!
After 3 years of International Business School, I am now taking a sabbatical year to see and experience more of the world and polish my language skills. I have recently returned from a month´s backpacking through the USA which gave me a taste for trying new challenges, and the desire to develop my English to a more professional level (and what better place than London?)
I have already gained some years experience in sales and communication through a number of very varied positions. For the past 6 years, I have worked in the retail sector at AMOC Fredericia, Denmark , a local children´s clothing store where the personal touch and individual advice to clients has played a large part in making it a valued and successful part of the local community. During these 6 years, as part of their team, I have been responsible for a variety of daily tasks as well as opening and closing the store.
In addition to my job at AMOC, I have also worked at Restaurant Fanøsund in Middelfart and Trinity Hotel and Conference Centre in Fredericia for the past year as a waitress for “a la carte” dining and for functions. Furthermore, I also work as a lifeguard at our local public baths/swimming club.
I feel that these positions have developed my sense of responsibility, taught me to work independently without supervision, and given me enough experience to keep a cool head under pressure!
Outside of work, one of my strongest interests is that of “entrepreneurship”- studying what is involved in starting and running a business. I have devoted much of my spare time to this.
I volunteer at YEAT- the “Foundation for Young Enterprises” support organization, where I was recently elected to the Board. My studies in entrepreneurship resulted in my being awarded the “Klods Hans Prize” in 2009 (sponsored by the LEGO Foundation and LEGO Education), my winning 1st. place in the Young Enterprises Talent School, and 1st place in the Danish National Championship for Entrepreneurship.
