''Cross-talk'' of Nuclear Receptors with Other Signaling Pathways

Nucelar receptors can also modulate gene expression by mechanisms independent of binding to an HRE. Thus, they can alter expressions of genes that do not contain a HRE through positive or negative interference with the activity of other transcription factors, a mechanism generally referred to as ''transcriptional cross-talk''. Thus, the receptors can negatively regulate target gene promoters that carry AP1, NFkB, or CREB-binding sites, without binding to these DNA elements themselves. The mechanisms responsible are not totally understood and can involve direct protein-to-protein interaction of the receptors with these transcription factors, or with intermediary factors that tether the receptors to the regulated promoter. The receptors can also regulate the activity of the signaling pathways that lead to the activation of these factors by different mechanisms. It is believed that many of the antiproliferative effects and anti-inflamatory actions of ligands of nuclear receptors could be mediated by ''cross-talk'' mechanisms.

Cross – talk jezgrenih receptora s ostalim signalnim putevima

I u Europi Spačva pripada među najveće cjelovite hrastove šume.
Mnoge ustanove u Beču (neogotička građevina Nove vijećnice, palače i dr.) imaju drvenu opremu izrađenu od slavonske hrastovine.

Spačva – the largest intact English oak forest landscape in Croatia
“When I say oak, I mean Spačva Forest”, Josip Kozarac wrote, an author and a forester. Between the rivers Sava and Dunav the largest intact English Oak forest landscape Spačva is located. It covers the area of 40,000 hectares, and the broader Spačvan pool is approximately 51,000 ha in size. Spačva is one of the biggest intact oak tree forests in Europe. Its most common tree types are: English oak, narrow-leafed ash, field elm, common hornbeam and field maple. English oak in Spačva got an international technological characteristic under the name of Slavonian oak due to its excellent quality. One fifth of all English oak forests in Croatia are located in Spačva, which signifies its size and importance. Forests of Spačva do not have big and old oaks; their average age is between 80 and 120 years with a medium trunk diameter of 40-60 cm. Forests are considered mature with an age of 140 years and in pursuant to Maria Theresa’s directive, 200 years were supposed to pass before cutting. Ordinance on forest management proclaims a minimum of 140 years have to pass before the cutting cycle.
Oak wood from Croatia was used as construction material in Europe for church roofs, doors, windows… A Neo-gothic style parliament house was built in Budapest, and the doors and windows of the Museum of Art History. Many of the Vienna’s establishments (Neo-gothic New city hall, palaces, etc.) have wooden parts made of Slavonian oak.

Učenici do 4. razreda idu u školu u područnim odjeljenjima, a poslije završenog 4.razreda nastavljaju školu u matičnoj školi u Semeljcima.

The locality of Semeljci was inhabited as early as the Neolithic Period. Semeljci is a village located in Slavonia, in the eastern part of Đakovština region.
The school in Semeljci was opened in 1786, and had many difficulties afterwards. Josip Zdravec was the first teacher in Semeljci. The original school building had wooden construction, a single clasroom, two teacher cabinets and a kitchen. The subjects taught were Illyrian and German language. The second school edifice was hastily built in 1833 with small funding. Boys were the only attendants of the school in 1875. The school grew from a two-grade schoool to a full four-grade public school.
The old building was demolished in May 1895, and in October of the same year, a new Municipal Public School was opened. It had 240 students. A regular eight-year school was allowed to open in the 1951-52 school year. In the 1959-60 school year, all of the separate grade schools were combined into a single central Primary School. It gained its full name of Josip Kozarac Primary School in Semeljci in September of 1960. Students from grades 1-4 went to local schools; after the completion of the fourth grade, they would continue with their education in the main school in Semeljci. Excavation for the foundations of the new school building began in October 1974, and the opening was on December 21, 1975. It was a two-story* building with 12 specialised classrooms, a workshop for technical education, a reading room, a kitchen with a dining room, a gymnasium, and recreation courts.
Josip Kozarac Primary School in Semeljci is a main school which still consists of five local schools in Kešinci, Vrbica, Forkuševci, Vučevci, and Mrzović. The Semeljci school has 450 students and 50 educational employees as of today.
