Source text - English The oxidative damage can lead to enzyme inactivation, mutation, membrane rupture, increase in atherogenicity and to the death of cells. These toxic effects of oxygen have been associated with aging and the development of chronic, inflammatory and degenerative diseases. Starting from this problem, a brief review was done in order to expose the main systems of antioxidant defense. This review was based on the latest scientific publications about the subject, aiming to bring up definitions, evidences and controversies. This work has the contribution of the authors Halliwell, B.; Gutteridge, J., Campos e Yoshida, among others, to its development in order to reach its purpose.
It follows that the joint of nutrients present in foods is what seems to provide protection to the health, and not an isolated nutrient. For more effective that could be, a single antioxidant can't replace the combination of naturally phytochemicals from the food. All studies presented in this review which brought controversial results, has used antioxidants as supplements.
Translation - Portuguese O dano oxidativo pode levar à inativação enzimática, mutação e ruptura de membrana ao aumento na aterogenicidade e à morte celular. Estes efeitos tóxicos do oxigênio têm sido associados ao envelhecimento e ao desenvolvimento de doenças crônicas, inflamatórias e degenerativas. Partindo deste problema, uma breve revisão foi realizada afim de expor os principais sistemas de defesa antioxidante. Esta revisão foi baseada nas últimas publicações científicas sobre o assunto, tendo como objetivo geral levantar definições, evidências e controvérsias. Contribuíram para o desenvolvimento deste trabalho os autores Halliwell, B.; Gutteridge, J., Campos e Yoshida, entre outros, afim de que o objetivo fosse alcançado.
Conclui-se que o conjunto de nutrientes presente nos alimentos é que parece propiciar proteção à saúde e não um nutriente isolado, por mais eficaz que seja, um único antioxidante não pode substituir a combinação de fitoquímicos naturalmente provenientes dos alimentos. Todos os estudos apresentados nesta revisão que apresentaram resultados controversos utilizaram antioxidantes na forma de suplementos.

Source text - Portuguese Este estudo de caso tem por objetivo geral, avaliar dentre as inúmeras opções existentes no mercado um sistema de informação ERP que seja aderente as necessidades funcionais e gerenciais da Milan Informática LTDA. Abrangendo como específicos: Determinar um sistema de avaliação de software de ERP, identificar os requisitos funcionais, analisar a aderência dos sistemas avaliados e determinar a melhor solução de software.
O método de pesquisa utilizado é o estudo de caso, sendo uma pesquisa de abordagem de natureza descritiva e quantitativa. Foram realizadas entrevistas com os fornecedores de ERP que tinham experiência em comércio e serviços, analisando o material de cada fornecedor e classificando os aspectos do software dentro de uma tabela de escores.
Também foram realizados testes de funcionalidade e usabilidade dos sistemas ERP para verificar a existência ou não dos módulos e sub-módulos do sistema, a eficiência do fluxo de informação com escores definidos e entrevistas com os clientes dos fornecedores para avaliar o grau de atendimento e qualidade do software.
Ao final deste processo é possível identificar o melhor fornecedor que obteve o percentual maior dentre os demais. Buscando com a implementação do sistema sugerido nesta proposta eliminação ou minimização dos problemas operacionais e gerenciais da empresa.
Translation - English The main goal of this case study is to appraise ERP system information among several options in the market, which consists with the functional and management needs of Milan Informática Ltda. Including as specifics: Determinate an evaluation system of ERP software, identify the functional requirements, analyze the evaluated systems consistence and determinate the best software solution.
The research method used is the case study, being this a descriptive and quantitative approach research. Interviews were performed with ERP suppliers that have experience in services and trading, analyzing the material of each supplier and ranking the software aspects within a table of scores. ERP systems functionality and usability tests were also performed to verify the systems modules and sub-modules existence, as well as the efficiency of information flow with defined scores and interviews with customers of the suppliers to appraise the services and the software quality.
At the end of this process we can find the best supplier which achieved the highest percentage among others. Through the implementation of the suggested system, have been sought the elimination or minimization of operational and management problems of the company.

I'm a British citizen, Brazilian by birth, raised and educated in Brazil. I went to the UK in April 2009, where I lived and worked for a year. I speak, read and write in English, and translating is a natural consequence.
My academic background is Computer Science and I worked as a systems analyst/web developer for almost 3 years, from 2010 to 2013. During this time I also studied Philosophy at the International Philosophical Organization New Acropolis.
I moved to Australia in 2013 and started to work in the hospitality industry, focusing in the coffee business. I've been reading and speaking only English for the past 8 years and as a result my proficiency in English improved substantially as well as my confidence to provide an excellent translation work.
From 2015 to 2018 I studied business management in Sydney and therefore I will be more than happy in collaborate with people from this community doing translations in the business/financial field too.
I returned to Brazil in 2019 and I've been writing a YA fantasy fiction in both English and Portuguese languages. Currently I'm an English teacher and freelance translator.
