Bio
I worked as a full-time in-house translator into English for SAP SSC in Galway, Ireland from January 2012 till April 2013. As of May 2013, I am a self-employed translator and interpreter. I work, among others, for two German SAP agencies (English into German) and for a German law office (mostly German into English).

During my studies, I also studied two terms of Rhetoric, involving techniques of writing and holding speeches, both in a team and alone, as well as one term of Journalistic Writing.

I also studied two terms of Construction Science for which I also passed an exam as a non-language skill for my degree.

European exchange program ERASMUS: I studied one term in Angers, France and one term in Dublin, Ireland.

I had occasional translation and interpreting jobs during my studies, such as interpreting (whispering) for a speaker at the Deutscher Seniorentag (German conference for senior citizens), consecutive interpreting for a group of French students touring several farms in Germany, and simultaneous interpreting of documentary films as well as consecutive interpreting of audience/film crew interviews at the DOK festival in Leipzig, Germany, for three years in a row.

I have been working as an IT support center agent in English, French and German for 4 years during my studies and count customer interaction, communication skills and to a certain extent IT skills to my portfolio. In my last project, I worked as an IT support specialist for a big American retail chain.

I also hold a Bachelor of Arts' degree in English and American Studies (language, culture and literature) and Political Sciences.
