Source text - Arabic مواصلات الإمارات تستقبل وفداً من الهيئة الاتحادية للكهرباء والماء
في إطار تعزيز التواصل مع الشركاء والمتعاملين، استقبلت مواصلات الإمارات وفداً من الهيئة الاتحادية للكهرباء والماء برأس الخيمة بهدف الاطلاع على مستوى الخدمات المقدمة للعملاء المستفيدين من خدمات المؤسسة، وأبرز الممارسات المتبعة في عملية تطوير وتحسين الخدمات.
وأكّد السيد يوسف علي كداو مدير مركز المواصلات الحكومية برأس الخيمة، عضو مجموعة مراكز الأعمال التابعة لمواصلات الإمارات، إلى أهميه هذه الزيارات التي من شأنها تعزيز العلاقات الاستراتيجية القائمة مع شركاء المؤسسة لما فيه مستهدفات جميع الأطراف، عبر تبادل الخبرات، والاطلاع على أفضل الممارسات والتجارب التي تطبقّها مواصلات الإمارات، مشيراً إلى أنها تسهم في تطوير مستوى الأداء جودة الخدمات المقدمة لمختلف الجهات الحكومية بالدولة.
واستعرض كداو خلال الزيارة الخدمات التي يتم تقديمها للعملاء المستفيدين من خدمات المؤسسة، كما تم خلال الزيارة مناقشة السبل المثلى لتلبية احتياجات الهيئة ومتطلباتها، وفق الملاحظات والمقترحات الواردة منهم على خدمات النقل الحكومي التي تقدمها المؤسسة.
في ختام الزيارة ثمّن وفد الهيئة الاتحادية للكهرباء والماء برأس الخيمة الجهود التي تبذلها مواصلات الإمارات لتقديم خدمات لعملائها وفق أعلى المعايير والمستويات، كما أشاد الوفد بمستوى الأداء المتميز لمركز المواصلات الحكومية برأس الخيمة، والممارسات التي يطبقها المركز لتطوير الخدمات التي يقدمّها لمتعامليه على مستوى الإمارة.
Translation - English Emirates Transport (ET) received a delegation from the Federal Electricity & Water Authority in Ras al Khaimah in the framework of boosting communication with partners and clients, with the aim of viewing the level of services offered to the benefeciary clients and the most prominent practices followed in the process of developing and improving services.
Director of the Public Transport Centre in Ras al Khaimah Youssuf Ali Kidaw and member of the business centre groups affiliated to ET pointed out to the importance of these visits which would consolidate the strategic relations with the institition’s partners. These relations are of benefit to all the parties, through exchange of expertise and observing the best practices and experiences applied by ET. He added that this would contribute to the development of the level of performance and the quality of services offered to the different public entities of UAE.
During the visit, Kidaw presented the services offered to the beneficiary clients in the institution. Discussions also revolved around the best ways to meet the Electricity & Water Authority’s needs and requirements, as per their feedback and proposals on the public transport services that ET offers.
At the end of the visit, the delegation from the authority praised ET’s efforts for offering services to clients as per the highest standards and levels. They also commended the outstanding effort of the Public Transport Centre in Ras al Khaimah and the practices the centre applies in order to develop services to clients in the emirate.

هبط الصمت على الرؤوس المنكسة فى سوق المدينة، وجند الملك ينزلون جثمانه من على الصليب، أوقعوا به منذ أيام، نكلوا به طيلة اليومين الماضيين، فى مهرجان رعاه الكهنة، جدعوا أنفه، اجتثوا لسانه، قطعوا أوصاله، وفى الصباح سمروه على الصليب، لذعوه بالجمر، شيعوه بلعنات الهرطقة ،وبعد الظهيرة، أعملوا فيه النصال .
من بين الرؤوس المنكسة، رفعت راسى، أشيع جثمان النبى البطل، القتلة يركلونه فى عربة، لا يغطى جسده العارى المثخن الا خرقة بالية، مضوا بخطواتهم الثقيلة ، تاركين الصمت والغم فى الصدور، وسط الجموع المتجمدة، والشهقات المكتومة، صرخ كهل، تهاوت ساقيه، ينحب، يلطم وجهه، يضرب راسه بكلتا يديه، يلعن نفسه، جذبه بعضهم ، يسالونه الصمت حرصا على الحياة، أسندوه الى جدار، جلس بملامح شقاء رهيب، جامدا تحسبه تمثالا، لولا فيضان دموع منهمر، نشيج متقطع، يبدأ ، يهدأ، فينفجر وكأنه يشق صدره.
انفضت الجموع كزبد البحر بعد المد، متمتمين بعبارات خفيضة: لترحمه الآلهة...أحمق كيف يعادى الملك.....هذا جزاء المهرطقين....لا عزة لنا بعده ستلعنا السماء انتقاما.....تعسا لهذا الكهل الاحمق.
Translation - English He Does Not Die
Silence fell upon the bowed heads, in the city market, while the king’s soldiers took his corpse off the cross. They tortured him for days. They made him an example for the whole of the last two days in the festival of the patrons of priests. They cut off his nose, took out his tongue, and cut off his joints. In the morning, they nailed him on a cross, burnt him with blazing coal, and made him a funeral of heresy curses. In the afternoon, they shoved him with arrowheads.
Among the bowed heads, I raised my head. I am bidding farewell to the body of the hero prophet. The killers are booting him in a carriage. His naked, debilitated body is uncovered but with a worn-out piece of cloth. They walked with heavy steps, leaving silence and sorrow in the hearts. Among the frozen crowds and suppressed gasps, an elderly man screamed, his legs betrayed him on the ground and he wailed, slapping his face and hitting his head with both hands while cursing himself. Some people pulled him and asked him to remain silent for the sake of his own survival. They leant him against a wall and he sat with features of tremendous misery, so stiff you would confuse him with a statue, except for the tears running down. Discontinuous wails; they start and then calm down, and then burst as if he is ripping his chest apart.
Crowds dispersed like sea foam after the rising tide, muttering with low voices “May the Gods have mercy on him. How imbecile he is to have opposed the king. This is the punishment for heretics. We are left with no honor without him; we are damned by the heaven’s retaliation. Woe to this imbecile old man.”

I am a certified MITI and ISO Qualified translator based in the UK with 9 years of experience in English<>Arabic translation. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in languages from Ain Shams University, Egypt, in 2010, and a PG Diploma in Media and Literary Translation from the American University in Cairo (AUC), in 2014. I also hold an MA in Specialised Translation (Merit) from the University of Roehampton, London, UK.
In 2017, I moved to the UK and immediately resumed my professional journey with translation, where I successfully became a Qualified MITI in the English>Arabic language pair. I am also a member of the Translators Association (TA, SoA), and IAPTI.
I currently work with several clients on a freelance basis, inside and outside the UK. I am an ITI Assessor in my language pair, a PEN Translates prize assessor, and an English<>Arabic Translator with the Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University.
In parallel with translation, I am also a creative writer who published two books in English and Arabic, of poetry and short stories, respectively. I write in both languages because I have a passion for both, and they both feed my linguistic skills to serve my career in translation.
